Soomin pov
"Why does a designer have to dress me up for this date?" I raised an eyebrow at the woman standing in the middle of my room with a bag, grinning wide at me. "Because oppa said so," she shrugged, "and I am very good with styling and make-up, so believe me, this is the best decision oppa has ever made," she added with a wink. "Ara," I chuckled, "fine, let's do this" I said. "yup! Now go wear this dress, your dear partner chose it himself," she said, handing me the bag that she was holding, while she kept the make-up box that she brought on the couch and sat next to it.
I walked to my closet and zipped open the bag, immediately falling in love with the dress, it looked beautiful. I didn't waste another second and got out of my t-shirt and sweatpants and changed into this dress. It was a black velvet dress that reached just below my knees. The dress hugged my body with an exception of my shoulders where the sleeves puffed before wrapping around the rest of my arm like a glove. The dress by itself was pretty much bare except the sparkling stones that adored the neckline of the dress.
After I was done dressing I called out Ara and she enters with the make-up kit. "Woah, eunni, you look great! Oppa knows what suits you," she squealed, "this dress does look great!" I agreed. Then she sat me down in front of the mirror and started doing the makeup, "oppa told me to keep it simple and natural," she said when she started. She finishes the look by curling the ends of my hair and letting it cascade down my shoulders.
"I feel bad for oppa, I don't think he could handle your beauty tonight," she winked when she completed. I blushed a little at that.
"I will be taking little Minseo with me, I will drop her at the boys' dorm," she said. "I can do that, Ara," I said, but she shook her head, "no eunni, it's ok, I have to anyway meet Tae, I haven't spoken to him for the past 2 days" she said. "Oh, can't go more than 2 days without your prince charming," I teased her, she looked down with blush adorning her cheeks. After bidding goodbye to my daughter and Ara, I picked a matching clutch to keep my phone in and slipped into the heels that Ara gave me along with the dress.
Hoseok soon arrives, and rings the bell while fussing with his sleeves. As soon as I opened the door for him, my jaw dropped, damn, he looked hot. He wore a black turtleneck with a black blazer and trousers. "You look beautiful," he muttered, taking my hand in his and placing a kiss on my knuckles making me feel all giddy. "You don't look bad yourself," I whispered.
When we reached the restaurant, he held my hand and led me in. There was no one in sight except a waitress waiting near a door. "This way, please," she muttered and opened the door. The room was shrouded in darkness except for the dim glow from candles that were lit everywhere, the room smelled like vanilla.
"How is it?" Hoseok smiled, "it's beautiful," I answered, and placed a peck on his cheeks.
He pulled a chair out for me and sat in front of me on the other side of the table. The waitress returns with plated dishes and placed it on the table, there was quite a lot on the menu for today, "anything else, sir, ma'am?" she asked, we respond with a no and thank her for her service.
"This place makes the best japchae, I ordered a little of everything for us tonight," Hoseok said. I tasted a little of each dish and they really were great. One of the best I tasted.
We talked here and there while eating, "Everything was so good," I hummed once I finished eating. He chuckled at me. I looked up at him and meet his eyes, my breath hitches, his skin glowed a golden hue, his eyes reflecting the dancing flame from the candle in front of us. And that smile, that charming smile which could melt a million hearts, spread on his lips so gently. He was beautiful. Ethereal.
"You know," he started, holding my hand that was on the table, "I always wanted to bring you to a fancy candle-lit dinner, but never had the money to and when I did, you weren't here, but today, I feel like I have accomplished something," he chuckled, "and Minnie, this is just the start, I am gonna spoil you from now on, but for that, I need your permission, Soomin-ah, I knew from the day I realised I loved you that you were my end game. Even when we were separated all these years, I knew no one will be able to take your place in my heart or my life. This second chance...you don't know how delighted I was when you agreed" he pauses, squeezing my hand he takes a breath in " Soomin, my love, I want to ask if you too would like to spend the rest of your life with me," I was already in tears and when he went on his knees with a ring in his hand, I sobbed.
