"Ma'am, are you okay? Should I cancel the last meeting?" my secretary asked, concern lacing her voice, "I am ok-" I let out a sigh, cutting myself off, "Actually, please do Dalmi, thank you" I smiled at her, grateful. She returns a smile before looking back at her iPad and typing away.

I have been very distracted since this morning, Minseo is going to continue her dance classes today and I can't help but keep thinking about how it's going to go between them now that they both know who the other is unlike before. Finally, I made up my mind and wrapped up my work for the day and went to see her at the class. I was also curious to see my daughter dance. After I scolded her for dancing a few years back, this would be the first time I saw her dancing.

When I entered with a mask, Hoseok noticed me in a few seconds and told something to the students and walked to me while the students carried on with their practice.

"Hey..." he greets, "hi, I am just here to see Minseo, you can carry on," I said, he nodded  "she is a great dancer, you are going to be so impressed by her. Come on in, you can sit here" he eagerly said, his eyes proud while talking about our daughter.

Our daughter, it gave a few different emotions, both good and bad, when I thought of it.

He led me into the room and made me sit on one of the chairs before going back to his students. Minseo noticed me but did nothing and continued with her routine. "Ok, students, we will go through it once more and the best 8 will be selected for the next round of selection, so give your best," Hoseok cheered, though you could hear a warning tone too.

There were almost 25 students and they all moved in sync, even though they all had their own style, it all looked perfect together. Among all of them Minseo stood out to me. She danced like her life depended on it, I could sense the same passion as her father in her. The way she moves her body with the flow, made it look very easy, but as someone who has danced I know how difficult it was to balance.

A lump formed in my throat at the thought that I stopped her from pursuing her passion while she is this great at it.

Hoseok's eyes watched every one of them like a hawk, his usual welcoming smile absent on his lips. When the song finally ended, the students collapsed on the ground, panting for breath. "Good job, everyone, now we will go through your mistakes and also your improvement before I announce who all are going to go to the next round," Hoseok clapped his hand as everyone sat straight.

My daughter was biting down her poor lips anxiously, her eyes looking at her coach expectantly. He called out each student's name and told them what should be corrected, at the end he also made sure to compliment them for everything they did well and for their effort.

When it was Minseo's turn she looked scared while he narrowed his eyes on her, "Minseo, when you are dancing in front of people, keep in mind that they don't know the choreography and will only know you made a mistake if you show that you did. I have mentioned it before, don't let them know you made a mistake and carry on like you would," he said sternly "However it is commendable how you didn't lose your balance in spite of it and finished the choreography" he gives her a small smile and adds, "Keep up the good work,"  "thank you, seonsaengnim," Minseo mumbled.

"Fine, now, those who are selected today, will have to do a freestyle in the next class and out of 8, 4 of you will be selected and go for the competition, clear?" he asked and got a collective 'yes' in reply.

"Now, Aera, Eunae, Hana, Haneul, Jae, Namoo, Sehun and Minseo," hearing her name Minseo's eyes widened, "but-" she started but was cut off by Hoseok, "I asked the competition organizers and they informed your age can also participate," he said already knowing what she was going to say. Minseo instantly smiled wide, Hoseok mirroring that smile, I couldn't help but smile seeing the pride he felt , "you guys should also get a permission letter from your parents, don't forget it when coming for the next class kids. Let's wrap it up for today, you all can leave."
