"Minseo-ah, I missed you," Hoseok's mother said as soon as she opened the door, she hugged the little girl tight in her arms making her giggle. "Eomma, you know your son is here too," Hoseok scoffed. Soomin laughs, shaking her head at his childish behavior and went to greet the elder. Not a moment after they entered the house, Hoseok's sister, Jiwoo came rushing downstairs to greet her niece for the first time. "Didn't I tell you, we are gonna have a lot of time to ourselves," Hoseok whispered in Soomin's ear, "Hoseok, how are you?" his father finally addressed his presence, "oh, you do remember me, appa!"
"Yah! Stop being jealous, you ass," his sister scolded, and immediately her husband flicks her forehead "mind your language in front the kid, honey," he scolded.
Jiwoo cursed a lot, it had become a habit, there where times when even during business meetings she would accidentally swear , "I don't know how you are gonna control that mouth of yours when you have a kid," her mother shook her head.
"We will see about that when I have one, eomma. Now excuse me, I have a niece to spoil and my full attention is gonna be on her," she cooed, pinching the little girl's cheek who giggled.
"Hoseok, go rest for sometime, you must be tired driving so long," Hoseok's mother said, Hoseok nodded but he stayed and greeted everyone properly before the little family went upstairs to Hoseok's old room. "I have prepared the guest room for Minseo, come see if it is to your liking," Jiwoo winked at the kid and pulled the kid with her leaving the couple alone.
"They all are so excited to meet her," Soomin chuckled. "I will take a shower before getting some shit eye" Hoseok said, Soomin nodded and started unpacking their luggage once Hoseok took a set of clothes to change into after his shower and went in.
"Wake me up for dinner," he yawned out after his shower and laid down on his bed, falling asleep almost immediately.
Being Soomin's first time here, she looked around Hoseok's room, curious. She smiles finding a few cute pictures from his childhood with his family, his favorite artist's posters on the wall. Moving to the next set of pictures Soomin was shocked to also a picture of herself with Hoseok in his room.
She soon goes down to see Hoseok's parents in the kitchen while Jiwoo was with her husband and Minseo in the living room. Minseo was animatedly talking with a big smile on her face as the couple sat listening to her attentively.
"Eomma, do you need any help?" she asked as she entered the kitchen, "it's okay dear, Hoseok is asleep?" she asked, as Soomin nodded. "Come, sit here, how has everything been? I saw the article confirming your relationship and having a daughter," she cleaned a place on the counter and signaling Soomin to sit there.
"It's all going good, eomma, the media were going crazy for the first few days but it's dying down now. Me and Hoseok also planned on giving our relationship another chance," she said, with a shy smile.
"I am so happy for you both, dear, I really hope you both won't have to face anymore problems," his father said, smiling happily.
"Hoseok told me about this when I called him last week, he sounded very happy, it's been so long since we saw him this happy," the elder woman said.
"I still feel bad that he kept it all to himself and took all the blame," Soomin mumbled. "The past is in the past, let it go, live your present and plan for a happy future," Hoseok's father patted her head, smiling at her fondly.
They heard a loud laugh from the living room which made the older couple smile, "they are gonna be great parents too, don't you think, Soomin?" the elder woman asked, "Of course they will, after all they have such great role models," the male said proudly, cutting the vegetables. Soomin softly laughed, "of course, appa, eomma is such a great mother, she taught her kids well," she teased the old man, making the elder woman laugh.
They talked for a long time while making dinner. Despite of Soomin insisting she was made to sit, the old couple didn't let her help them at all, telling her to just talk to them and she did exactly that with no choice left, she told all about her work, how Minseo was when she was younger.
"She looks the exact same as Jiwoo, its like seeing Jiwoo whenever I see Minseo," Hoseok's father laughed, "Hoseok was telling me how eunnie is gonna tease him that his daughter is looking like her," Soomin said, "oh! What's the difference though, Hoseok looks like a male version of Jiwoo," Hoseok's mother chuckled just as Jiwoo entered the kitchen, "I will be borrowing my to-be-sister-in-law now," she said and dragged her out.
"Minseo is with my amazing husband right now, he loves kids and when he heard Minseo is coming he was so eager to meet her and bought a lot of things for her so they are uupstair unpacking all her gifts" Jiwoo says holding Soomin's hand "now, tell me, how is my sweet girl? Is my little brother treating you right?"
"He is the best, eunnie, he is still the same, treating me as good as always. What about you? Oh! Also, Congratulations on your wedding, I actually wanted to be there, I got to know about it through the multiple news and posts that Hosoek's sister is getting married. I really wanted to personally call and tell you that day itself but couldn't...I am so happy for you," Soomin said, hugging the elder.
Jiwoo chuckled, "Hoseok cried so much that day, you know, his speech was also so touching that I myself teared up. At first I didn't want to get married until he at least found someone, I felt like it would be rubbing salt on his wound seeing how he was still not over...you, but he did a lot of convincing and emotional blackmail and I finally agreed to go ahead with it as planned. I am really so happy that you are back in his life, not to mention with another little bundle of happiness, she is a literal sunshine just like my brother."
"Her smile and dimples, it was like I was seeing Hoseok everyday all these years, she is a carbon copy of you, eunnie, a female version of Hoseok like Jimin describes you and Minseo," Soomin softly laughed. "I am proud that my niece looks like me," the elder said, proudly raising her head up.
"The dinner is ready, everyone gather at the table," Mama Jung called from the kitchen.
Soomin goes up to wake Hoseok up as Minseo and her new favorite uncle came down.
Ah, my heart, calm down. Soomin thought when she saw Hoseok sleeping peacefully with his mouth slightly open. He looked so cute. She slowly climbed up the bed and sat next to him, "Hoba," she softly whispered, her finger running along his hair. He stirred a little, continuing to sleep, she calls out again, "a few more minutes please," he mumbled, "no, wake up, have dinner and come back to sleep again," she says when Hoseok suddenly took her wrist in his hand and pulled her down, making her let out a yelp as she fell on him, he wrapped his hands around her waist and snuggled his nose into her neck and sighed in content.
"H- Hoseok," she called out, he tightened his hold around her and laid her down on his side making her wrap her hand around him.
"You haven't had anything since morning, Hoba, come eat something, then go back to sleep," she softly repeats, placing a peck on his forehead.
"Lets stay like this for just 2 minutes, please, this is so comfortable," he said sleepily, his lips forming a pout, she blushed before softly pecking his pout and snuggled her face into his neck just like he did and smiled.
"That's not fair, you didn't let me kiss you back," she heard Hoseok complain, "you don't seem to be sleepy anymore," she mumbled into his neck. "Don't change the topic, now miss, come on, give me a kiss and let me kiss you back," he said. Soomin finally pulled back and looked at Hoseok who smiled widely once he saw his love's face.
He leaned down and placed his lips on hers and moved it slowly with hers, her lips were his drugs that he just couldn't get enough of to. The couple felt euphoric, they felt themselves drowning into each other again. The old flame of love they once shared was reigniting, overwhelming them.
They mutual agree to take it slow without having to word it, no confessions were made, but their eyes were enough to know how the other felt.
