Hoseok pov
Finally! The classes were over for the day.
I had a schedule with the guys which lasted through the morning till evening because of which I had to rush for the class immediately, if it had ended any later I might have had to cancel or postpone the class. It's not easy to always have time for my dance classes because of the kind of lifestyle I have, my manager somehow makes it happen for me, which I am very grateful for but there are times I can't take classes like during our tours or when I have an overseas schedule. During those times I have arranged for another trainer so the students don't miss a lot of classes and practice consistently.
All the students were gone and like always Minseo was the last one left. She was back in her uniform, waiting for her driver to come who was unusually late. I was tapping the towel on my face and neck to wipe off the sweat when I realized my chain was missing. I panicked immediately and looked around myself on the ground, searching for the chain.
Fuck! I can't lose that ring too.
"What are you searching for?" Minseo asked, "my chain," I replied quickly, still looking around the room to find it. "Oh, the one you always wear? I will help you find it," she said, getting up from where she was sitting and went out of the room to find the reception area. I continued searching, picking up everything that was on the floor to see if it had fallen under it.
"It's not outside either, when did you last see it?" she asked, I looked up, thinking when I last saw it. "I remember playing with the ring hanging down the chain when I was coming here by the car," I answered.
"shit, did I lose it in the car?" It was a rental car that we used for the shoot. After the shoot it took a long time for my car to come so I just took the rental one with my driver since I was getting late for the class.
I leaned back on the wall and slid down to the ground.
"no no no, I can't lose the ring," I mumbled under my breath. Minseo panicked, running to me and kneeled down beside me.
"It was her's, Minseo-ah, I can't lose it...I already lost her, not this too," I mumbled, tears filling up my eyes while my fingers fiddled with the ring that was on my ring finger. This was mine, and the one on the chain was her's.
"Don't panic, seonsaengnim, we will find it, did you maybe change your t-shirt after you reached here?" she asked. I hastily nodded my head and got up, rushing to my bag and pulled out the t-shirt that I was wearing when I reached here.
I prayed for it to be there at least.
When I shook the t-shirt, the chain fell on the ground with a soft ting, I let out a breath of relief. I picked it up and wore it around my neck, feeling like the air returned to my lungs letting me breathe. I turned towards Minseo, and hugged her tight, "thank you, thank you so much, I would have never forgave myself if I would have lost it," I said, pulling back with tears streaming down my eyes.
She wiped my tears and asked, "is it that important?"
"This was our promise ring to stay together forever, I gifted her this, but I had to break the promise, so I wanted this ring of hers to at least stay with me forever. I have mine here," I showed her the ring around my finger. "why not go talk to her now? Maybe she still loves you?" she asked, her innocent eyes staring at me. "no, she must have moved on, I don't want to bring her back to the past and hurt her again," I shook my head. Minseo looked at me in silence, "I don't understand adults," she shook her head and walked to the door with her bag, waiting for the driver.

"I trusted you with my daughter, ajusshi!" I exclaimed, the old man hung his head low in shame.
Yesterday I accidentally opened the tracker app that showed me the GPS location of Minseo's phone. Confused, I checked the car's location which she traveled in and it was in the same location. It clearly wasn't her school or anywhere near her school. When I called her to check she told me she was in school. Why is she lying? Suspicious, I checked the locations her phone was at the previous week, and she has been going to the exact same location everyday.
"I am sorry, Soomin-shi, but she really wanted to learn dancing, and begged me not to let you know about it," he muttered. I snatched the car key that was laying on the table and walked out of the office, "I will pick her up myself today, and you don't need to drop her or pick her up anymore," I ordered.
I didn't get out of the car and waited for her to come in herself.
She was glaring down at the ground before she looked up when I honked. She confirmed with the number plate once if it was the right car before she turned back and said something to someone who was inside and walked towards the car.
Opening the door for the back seat she gets in, realizing it's not the usual driver but me once she is settled in. She looks at me through the mirror, her eyes wide, "e-eomma," she started, but I cut her off , "let's talk when we get home."
I noticed how anxious she was the whole ride.
She ran after me once we reached home. I threw my handbag onto the couch in the living room and turned to look at Minseo who was looking down with guilt written all over her face.
"Why?" I asked her, "I am sorry," she mumbled, "I asked why did you not tell me about this. I didn't ask for an apology," I spat. "I wanted to learn dancing," she mumbled under her breath, her voice just above a whisper, "you could have told me, why go behind my back and do this?" I questioned her, upset that she hid this from me. "You didn't like it when I used to dance, but I really love dancing," she said, her head still hanging down.
"I told you to stop dancing for your own good, Minseo, you knew what you were doing was wrong, but you still chose to do it, you know how much it's hurting me right now? You have done something so big without telling me and also made sure I wouldn't get a doubt about any of this! I trusted you and let you out alone so that you would learn new things. I didn't think you would also learn how to lie to my face, Minseo," my voice raises as I speak.
"I am sorry, eomma," she apologized again.
"I don't need your apology, Minseo. From now you will be dropped off and picked up by me from school and no more going out on weekends by yourself, and give me your phone, you will get it back when I believe you won't do something like this again," I said, stretching out my arm for her phone. She finally looked up at me, "eomma, please, please let me attend the classes, I promise I will score marks in academics too, I won't let it distract me at all, please," she pleaded, her eyes having a little hope. Anger and hurt clouded my judgment, "give me your phone and go to your room," I said.
"Eomma please, please," she pleaded again, "give me your phone and go to your room, Minseo!" I repeated.
"Eomma, plea-"
"Minseo!" I yelled out, making her flinch, a tear rolled down her eyes as she angrily threw her phone on the coffee table and ran to her room.
Now, what's gonna happen? How will Minseo and Hoseok meet each other from now? And how do you think Hoseok will get to know that Minseo is his daughter? 👀
