"What's wrong?" Finn asked as he opened the bathroom door.
"This!" Quinn exclaimed, holding up her left hand. "Why do I have a ring? I told you we weren't ready to get engaged. Oh my god, wait. Give me your hand."
Finn absentmindedly gave Quinn his hands.
"Oh my god." Quinn said, eyeing the ring on Finn's left hand. "Did we get married? We got married! I can't believe we did this. And we did it without Beth. Oh my god, my mom's gonna kill me."
"Well, maybe we didn't." Finn said.
Quinn looked at Finn.
"But if we did, is it really that bad?" Finn asked. "We're in love, and we're gonna get married eventually. We just talked about this."
"Yeah, and we just agreed that we wouldn't even get engaged yet." Quinn responded. "This was your idea, I'm sure of it."
"My idea?" Finn furrowed his eyebrow.
"You were the one who wanted this." Quinn stated. "I told you I didn't wanna get married yet."
"Quinn, don't freak out." Finn said. "Nothing has to change unless we want it to, okay?"
Quinn bit her lip.
"I love you, and I don't know what happened last night, but we can keep being boyfriend and girlfriend if that's what you want." Finn added, gently squeezing Quinn's hands. "Okay?"
"Okay." Quinn repeated as she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as she pulled away. "Except it's not okay. I'm gonna feel like I'm lying to Beth."
"What do you wanna do?" Finn wondered. "Whatever you want, we'll do it."
"We need to get this annulled." Quinn said. "I need to call my lawyer."
"Quinn." Finn frowned.
"I'll be right back." Quinn decided. "I need some air."
Quinn put on clothes and walked out of the hotel room. She went down to the lobby.
"Miss!"
Quinn turned and looked at the man who had called after her.
"You and your husband left this in the chapel last night."
Quinn furrowed her eyebrow as she took the sweater from the man. "Thanks."
The man nodded.
"Were you there?" Quinn blurted. "It's just... we're so hungover and can't quite piece together the night."
"I wasn't there, but Gerald was. He said it was quite lovely, actually, even though you had to beg your boyfriend to go through with it."
"What did you just say?" Quinn wondered.
"Nothing. I have to get back to work. Please excuse me."
