"Hey." Quinn said as she answered her phone.
"Hey." Finn responded. "I got your text that you were going out. You've been gone over an hour though, so I wanted to check in."
"I'm on my way home now." Quinn told Finn. "I'll see you and Beth soon."
"Okay." Finn said. "Kurt and Blaine are here. They're gonna join us for dinner."
"That's great." Quinn replied.
"Are you okay?" Finn wondered.
"Yeah." Quinn promised as her phone beeped with another call. "I have to take this. I'll see you soon."
"See you soon." Finn echoed before hanging up.
"Hello?" Quinn answered the phone.
"Hi, Miss Fabray."
"Hi." Quinn repeated. "Do you have any updates on the adoption paperwork yet?"
-
Try as she might, Quinn couldn't wipe the smile off her face when she returned home. She greeted Finn with a passionate kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Whoa." Finn smiled when they parted. "What was that for?"
"I have good news." Quinn stated happily as Beth, Kurt, and Blaine came to greet her.
"Hi, Mommy."
"Hi, B." Quinn grinned, picking Beth up and kissing her cheek as she put her on her hip. She greeted the boys with hugs and kisses.
"Kurt and I wanted to take you guys to dinner." Blaine informed Finn and Quinn.
"You don't have to do that." Quinn told them.
"We haven't really had a chance to celebrate with you guys after the wedding." Kurt added with a smile.
"Well, if you insist..." Finn muttered.
"I should go get changed." Quinn decided as she kissed Beth's cheek again before putting her down. "Finn."
Finn furrowed his eyebrow and took Quinn's hand, following her to their bedroom.
"Daddy." Beth called after Finn. "Can you help me with my shoes?"
Finn and Quinn exchanged a happy glance before Finn turned to Beth. "I'll be right there."
"Please?" Beth requested, and Quinn nodded.
"Okay, come on."
