Quinn was sad when the weekend came to end because she had such a good time with the girls. It had been a while since they had all been together like that, and with Mercedes on the west coast, Quinn was happy to share a room with her for the weekend to catch up.
When Quinn got home, she brought her things in and found Finn in the living room.
"Hey."
"Hey, you." Finn smiled as he got up to greet Quinn and help her with her bags. "How was your weekend?"
"It was a lot of fun." Quinn answered.
"Well, I wanna hear all about it before Beth comes home." Finn said.
"Oh, did you talk to her?" Quinn asked.
"I did." Finn nodded. "Let me put these inside and then we can sit down and catch up before it's time to go get her."
"Okay." Quinn nodded back. "Thanks."
Finn excused himself and walked away with Quinn's bags while Quinn sat down on the couch.
Finn returned and joined her. "So how was the bachelorette weekend?"
"It was really nice to have all the girls together." Quinn answered. "I was surprised to see Rachel there, but she was fine."
"She called me the day you guys left." Finn informed Quinn. "Well, that night. She sounded really drunk, but she said she's happy that I'm happy and she wants to be supportive."
Quinn nodded slowly. "Good."
"But forget about Rachel, how was it? What'd you do?" Finn questioned Quinn.
"Well, as Santana likes to say, what happens on a girls' trip, stays on a girls' trip." Quinn smirked. "We went to a few clubs and bars and danced and got free drinks and had a good time."
Finn furrowed his eyebrows.
"I didn't do anything inappropriate." Quinn promised. "You can trust me."
"I trust you." Finn noted. "I'm glad you had a good time. And I'm glad everyone behaved."
"Yeah, it was great." Quinn said. "I'm gonna take Santana to lunch one day this week to thank her."
"That's a good idea." Finn replied. "And next weekend, I'm gonna go out with the guys for my bachelor party."
"Where are you going?" Quinn asked.
"We're staying here." Finn answered. "It's easier for everyone to meet here, so we're gonna go bar hopping and stuff. It'll be one night only, and I think we're gonna crash at Kurt and Blaine's."
"Sounds like fun." Quinn stated. "And it'll be nice for me to have a night alone with Beth. How'd everything go with her?"
"I picked her up from school on Friday, and she was telling me all about her day on the way home." Finn began. "When we got home, I got her a snack and told her I wanted to talk to her."
Quinn nodded, encouraging Finn to continue.
"So while she was eating, I told her how much she meant to me, and how much you mean to me, and I told her I wanna be there for her always." Finn went on. "And I asked her to think about me legally adopting her so I could be her dad."
"And what did she say?" Quinn questioned Finn.
Finn smiled happily. "She said she would really like it if I adopted her. And she asked if she could try to call me Dad sometimes."
Quinn smiled back. "Did you tell her yes?"
"I told her if she wants to call me Dad, she can, or she can keep calling me Finn." Finn informed Quinn. "And after I dropped her off at school, I started looking into the laws about adoption."
"Really?" Quinn wondered, impressed.
"Since he's on her birth certificate, we need his approval for me to adopt her." Finn explained. "Or the court can override that if they know he doesn't have a relationship with her or anything."
"I'll give my lawyer a call and get this started." Quinn decided as she kissed Finn lightly.
"I'll pick Beth up from school."
