Over a week went by and Quinn didn't hear anything from the lawyers. She had called them several times, but they didn't have news.

"I have to go get Beth from school." Quinn told Finn. "Can you call the lawyers while I'm gone?"

"You've called them every single day since you spoke to him." Finn reminded Quinn. "They said they're gonna call as soon as they have news."

"Do you think I should call him again?" Quinn wondered. "Maybe he didn't sign it yet."

"Quinn." Finn said.

"This isn't a game to me." Quinn snapped. "Okay? It might be a game for him, but it's not to me. This is our daughter's life, Finn."

"She's already mine." Finn pointed out. "And once this is settled, she's legally mine for the rest of her life."

Quinn looked at Finn.

"I know you wanna put this behind you." Finn added. "And so do I, but calling him isn't gonna help."

"I should go get Beth." Quinn noted.

"I'll go get her." Finn decided. "Why don't you go for a walk or call your mom or something?"

Quinn nodded and watched as Finn walked to the door. "Finn."

Finn looked at Quinn.

"I'm sorry." Quinn apologized.

"Don't be sorry." Finn said before leaving.

Quinn took a deep breath and exhaled.

After a few minutes, she decided to call her mom.

"Hi, Quinny."

"Hi, Mom." Quinn said.

"What's wrong?" Judy wondered.

"Nothing." Quinn reassured her mother. "I'm still waiting to hear from the lawyers."

"You need to take your mind off of that, honey." Judy advised Quinn. "Although patience was never your strong suit."

"I've gotten better over the years." Quinn insisted.

"Thanks to Beth." Judy noted.

"Yeah." Quinn agreed, pausing as she looked at the mail in front of her. "Mom, I should go."

"Okay." Judy muttered. "But call me if you need anything. And let the lawyers do their job."

"I will."
