(Back with another one for yall. Both Brynleigh and Cyrus are kinda miserable in this lol)

*Third Person POV*

Brynleigh Pasternack tried to do anything to make the outfit she was in comfortable whatsoever. She had had the most brilliant idea for her and her boyfriend to switch clothes for the night of their bowling date, which she had chosen and insisted on. This, she slowly realized, was not as cute of an idea as she thought. Because she was stuck in stiff dress pants, an impossibly unwrinkled button up, and a stuffy thick sweater. All whilst her boyfriend got to be clad in loose high-waisted comfortable jeans, an oversized band t-shirt (stolen from James Ander’s high school years), and a comfortable jacket in case it got cold. Cyrus had refused a dress or tank top, Brynliegh should have refused the entire outfit she had to wear. Honestly, how was he ever comfortable in this?

Brynleigh sighed, resigning to her fate of looking horrible for the night. At least she could still wear makeup like usual. As she thought this she walked down the stairs to where the front door was. When she got there she was met with the image of her boyfriend in what she wished she could be wearing right now. She looked him up and down to see the full outfit and immediately walked to the door after that fact. She noticed from the corner of her eye that Cyrus was looking down at his outfit, seeing if there was anything wrong to cause such a reaction from Brynleigh. But Brynleigh didn’t say anything, her boyfriend was usually quite self-conscious.

Brynleigh just walked to the door of the car and hopped in. Most likely either the ride to the place or back would get them killed. ‘Why would either of these drives get them killed?’ you might ask. Simple, Magnus was driving them. She heard him chuckle in the front seat. They would most definitely not survive the night.

When they arrived at the Bowling Alley Cyrus thanked Magnus for the ride while Brynleigh got their shoes and everything. Slowly she and Cyrus were making their way to their assigned lane to get started. Whoever lost paid for food. This challenge brought a fiery determination into Brynleighs soul.

Determination was not needed. Cyrus sucked at bowling. Now, that’s not to say he missed a couple times, oh no. Here are some of the numbers Brynleigh counted during the evening. Cyrus dropped the ball on his foot three times, he fell eight times while trying to handle the ball, he hit a total of two pins throughout the entire night, he accidentally hit himself in the face with the ball twice, and he almost twisted his ankle. He didn’t though, luckily.

All of this truly befuddled Brynleigh. He wasn’t even the one in uncomfortable clothing. She knew her boyfriend was weak and clumsy but still. This was ridiculous. Actually, it was beyond ridiculous. Although Bryneigh supposed that she really shouldn’t be complaining in her situation. At least it was safe to say she wasn’t paying for the food.

Cyrus tousled his hair for a messy style that he didn’t usually like. But Brynleigh liked it, so he was willing to try it. Exclusively for tonight though. Brynleigh had insisted that their next date be bowling, which he didn’t really like. But it made her happy, so he went along with it. Then she made the challenge that whoever lost at bowling would have to pay for their food, which he again didn’t like. He knew that it immediately meant he was paying, so he made sure to put some extra cash in his pocket. But it made her happy, so he went along with it. Then, worst of all, she said she saw this cute couple idea online where the two people switch styles for a little while. She was adamant that they try it so that they could feel more of what it was like to be in each other’s shoes. Which he really didn’t like. But it made her happy, so he went along with it. So here was, wearing too big jeans, a too big shirt, a jacket that was way too thin to keep him warm, and his hair done so messily that he had to constantly get it out of his eyes.

It was so unlike his usual outfits, he hated it. His dress pants and button ups fit perfectly so that he was always comfortable. It wasn’t like he used gel or anything but usually he styled his hair so that it would least be out of his eyes. And even his extremely thick sweaters usually weren’t even enough to keep him warm, so this thin jacket made shiver even in the house. Tonight was going to be miserable.

Cyrus walked down the stairs to wait for his girlfriend by the front door. He heard when she arrived down there and wow. She looked beautiful, but she always looked beautiful to be fair. Brynleigh looked him up and down and just walked out the door. Cyrus looked down at his outfit, trying to find any flaw from how Brynleigh would wear this outfit. He couldn’t find anything so after a few seconds of panic he rushed out to the car where Brynleigh was already waiting. Cyrus got in the car and saw Magnus was driving them, he gulped. He had not been given that information beforehand. Would he survive this drive?

Cyrus thanked Magnus for the ride while Brynleigh got their shoes and stuff. He walked into the building and walked with Brynleigh to their lane. Here comes the pain. Cyrus knew he was horrible at bowling. That’s not to say he occasionally misses, no. Here are some of the painfully embarrassing numbers from throughout the evening. Cyrus dropped the ball on his foot three times, he fell eight times while trying to handle the ball, he hit a total of two pins throughout the entire night, he accidentally hit himself in the face with the ball twice, and he almost twisted his ankle. He didn’t though, luckily.

Cyrus pulled out the money right after the game, he had already planned on paying.
