An explanation as to why I gave Cyrus 'Home / This Is Home' by Cavetown.

Verse 1:
Often I am upset / That I cannot fall in love / But I guess / This avoids the stress of falling out of it / Are you tired of me yet / I'm a little sick right now but I swear / When I'm ready I will fly us out of here

Cyrus has a very complicated love life. At the end of the day, he kinda just wanted to have a nice calm relationship. A nice calm life, but that just wasn't something that could be attained for the entirty of Six Minutes. So yeah, that was definitely stressful.

Chorus 1:
...I'll cut my hair... / ...To make you stare... / ...I'll hide my chest / And I'll figure out a way to get us out of here

I didn't include the 'ooh's, sorry. But with all the traveling while they were on the run, Cyrus had to take on a bunch of different personas. Like the one where they worked at Ernies's Diner, Cyrus had to go by a completely different name and make a different accent, which they all had to do. But still, that couldn't have been easy.

Verse 2:
Turn off your porcelain face / I can't really think right now, and this place / Has too many colors / Enough to drive all of us insane / Are you dead? / Sometimes I think I'm dead / 'Cause I can feel ghosts and ghouls wrapping my head / But I don't wanna fall asleep just yet

Throughout the Ander's stay at Thornton Rust, Cyrus expresses multiple times that he feels like something is off. Everything seems to be to be true, and after the things that have happened to him, he's learned that if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. But everyone else just wants to have something good, whereas Cyrus doesn't trust it. That covers the first part of this, as for the second part. When Cyrus went to confront Dr. Whittier, Dr. Whittier dropped him into the floor to die. Cyrus has had a lot of similar instances to this and somewhat knows what to do. Though that probably did bring back a lot of unwanted memories.

Chorus 2:
... My eyes went dark... / ...I don't know where... / ... My pupils are / But I'll figure out a way to get us out of here

So we all know that Cyrus really loves to get himself into life-threatening situations. Serousily thought, someone needs to start keeping a watchful eye on that boy. The cave in, getting dangled off of buildings, getting kidnapped from a police station, and so much more. He's gotten so close to death so many that it's just straight unreasonable, especially considering that he's still an underage teenager.

Bridge:
Get a load of this monster / He doesn't know how to communicate / His mind is in a different place / Will everybody please give him a little bit of space? / Get a load of this trainwreck / His hair's a mess, and he doesn't know who he is yet / But little do we know / The stars / Welcome him with open arms / Oh

Cyrus was known to be a bit awkward and anxious. He most definitely had tons of self-esteem issues and dealt with a lot of other issues. Also, this is just my personal headcanon, but I really see Cyrus as autistic. I feel like this could really match that aspect, but that's just how I veiw the character. Also, Cyrus probably felt a bit out of place with being more normal. He wasn't a robot, and he didn't have any superpower or anything, so he might've felt that he was boring or not good enough.

Outro:
...Time is... / ...Slowly... / ...Tracing his face / But strangely, he feels at home in this place

Cyrus, similar to many of the other characters, had a really hard time trusting other people. After getting back to Juneua, he still would've been jumpy and easily scarable, which he probably got made fun of for. It's understandable that it would be hard for him to feel safe anywhere. But after a little while, a long while, he'd start to calm down a bit and get into a nice routine.

This song describes Cyrus's character far too well.
