A more in-depth reasoning as to why I gave Birdy 'Devil Town' by Cavetown.

Intro:
Life's alright in Devil Town / We're right / No one's gonna catch us now / Dad has bought a new car now / We're fine / No one's gonna catch us now / (Okay) / (Hey!)

After everything winded down at the end of season two, it probably took a long time for things to actually go back to being somwhat normal. You can't tell me that a single person in that family didn't have paranoia and anxiety about something dangerous happening again. Panic attacks and nightmares definitely wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Birdy probably had to constantly remind herself that they were all fine and safe anytime she heard something or felt someone put their hand on her shoulder.

Verse 1:
You said something dumb again / She's mad / At least that's what they say / Mum and daddy aren't in love / That's fine / I'll settle for two birthdays

Okay, there were so many fights happening while they were all on the run. You have that fight with Holiday using jujitsu on Dr. Zaslow, Cyrus secretly talking with WhittierCorp, Brynleigh just not liking anyone, Badger running off, and way too many more to list. It might've been just slightly upsetting for Birdy to constantly hear the people that she's always around fighting with one another.

Chorus:
Devil Town is colder in the summertime / I'll lose my mind another thousand times / Hold my hand tight / We'll amke it another night / I still get a little scared of something new / But I feel a little safer when I'm with you / Falling doesn't feel so bad when I know you've fallen this way too

In Birdy's head, she kinda tries to make things into a game or a story. I think that she didn't really want to accept that situation and everything that was happening. So, in the true fashion of her being pretty young, she just pretended that it wasn't real or that it wasn't as serious as it actually was. At least in my opinion.

Verse 2:
We're all dead in Devil Town / That's fine / 'Cause nothing's gonna scare us now / We're all in our dressing gowns / Mine's white and stripey / Yours is green and brown

Metaphor time! So, for this one, the dresses could be used as a metaphor for all the different types of powers that the Whittkids have and also that the robots have. Birdy would love not only having powers but being sourrounded by other kids with powers. It makes her feel really special. As for the first few lines, Birdy probably has a fear of death, to be honest.

Verse 3:
I forgot my name again / I think that's something worth remembering / Spiders in your favorite shoes / Just leave them be 'cause they're more scared of you

Birdy has an odd love for tons of things that you would never think someone would love. Bruce the frog, for example, she treats Bruce better than she treats her family. That's just a small detail about her character that is small and insignificant, but honestly, it is really nice.

None of these explanations make sense whatsoever, lol.
