FIONA's POV
Louis squinted with a confused look on his face "sorry?" I inhaled and repeated myself, Louis chuckled and shook his head "are you feeling okay?" he turned to Griffin "has she been drinking lately?"

Griffin replied plainly "no, she has been wanting to tell you, do you have hearing problems?" Louis sized him with his eyes and turned to me "if you're tired can we go somewhere else?" I hid behind Griffin as he moved closer.

"Leave her alone, let me put it in words, Fiona just broke up with you. Thank you, you may go now" Griffin said calmly.

"Fiona, can we talk privately?" he spoke softly, my heart hurt like I was stabbed in the chest, I had no courage to face him "Go away Louis, don't bother me again... we're strangers" I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Fiona, if I offended you we could talk about it" my eyes glistened in tears as I heard his voice again. I wanted to say something but my lips were sealed. Griffin turned to kiss me without taking his glare off Louis, he froze with widened his eyes.

"Don't force her if she's taken a decision already, mystics stick together, same with humans" Griffin frowned, I turned away as Louis darted to me—eyes full of sadness

"I-I'm sorry, I'll leave" he hesitated then walked away. I covered my mouth as I watched him disappear into the woods, he didn't deserve this.

It's all my fault for believing the impossible could happen, my legs grew weaker, I dropped to the ground—wailing in my palms. Griffin squatted and patted my back, I burst into another wave of emotions over again.

...

LOUIS' POV
I returned to the hotel not knowing how to feel about this, I could only recognize that empty feeling inside. "How was it?" I raised my head as I heard his voice, I sat at the edge of the bed staring at the carpet, I felt the presence of a familiar shadow.

"Why the long face? How's Fiona?" Nicholas sat next to me, "I-I think she just broke up with me" I said almost in a whisper. "What! I knew I didn't like something about that girl, I knew it! She's not a good person" his babbling sounded like background noises in my ears.

There was something strange about Fiona this morning, she looked unhappy and scared, her whole body shivered and her voice trembled. It was as if she was threatened to say it, she couldn't even look me in the eye.

I know my girl, if I did something she hated she'll tell me immediately. If Fiona is done with me she'll look me in the face and say it. Griffin is my first suspect.

I turned to Nicholas who had been talking for hours. "I think Fiona was threatened" he turned to me "are you sure?" I waited for a while then nodded "We went on a date on Monday, she was so excited then she's telling me to leave her alone two days later?"

"Strange" Nicholas rubbed his chin, we were distracted by a ringtone, he sighed "I promised to meet Erica, she wants a song review, I said yes so she'll shut up," I giggled at his facial expression.

"Good luck, enjoy yourself" I grinned at him, he glared then crawled like a snail to the door.

...

NO ONE'S POV
Nicholas was in a black shirt, white trousers and black shoes. Erica was scribbling on a bench—wearing a white crop top beneath blue jumpers shorts and black boots. Her coffee brown afro was decorated with daisies and a guitar case leaned on her knee.

"Hey! I'm here" she waved at Nicholas, he walked quickly to prevent her from drawing more attention "hi, I'll just listen once, I have things to do" Nicholas forced a smile—just to be nice, "thanks for coming"

She unzipped the black bag "I finished the romance song we wrote together, I'm not too good with the guitar or singing " she said shyly and touched her glasses.

Erica closed her eyes as she poured her soul into it, her fingers gilded with ease on the strings as she tapped her foot to the rhythm. It ended with 'we'll hide the keys of our hearts in a treasure box, just you and me.'

Nicholas stared at her with opened eyes and his lips parted, he clapped so hard as she finished "wow! You're so good, you should be a musician" he commented. Erica smiled with rosy cheeks "thanks, you're the first to listen to my singing" his eyebrows wrinkled "really? What of your friends and family?"

Erica kept it back in the case "my parents don't really care about my songwriting dream, they just want me to go to college" Erica said with a shrug.

"And my friends... Well, I was bullied in high school, they called me the 'noisy nerd' and I got into a lot of trouble cuz I won't close my big mouth. My only friend was the librarian and bookie."

Erica leaned closer and whispered in his ears "just between you and me, I think she disliked me" Nicholas paused for a while "what about bookie?" she smiled at him and raised her jotter "a loyal friend."

Nicholas looked at her then at the book "that's bookie?" he pointed then she nodded with a grin.
