LOUIS' POV

It has been six months since Fiona's disappearance. My Dad and I have literally been sending death notes through our stares, my Mom being a world-class hero rushed to my rescue by sending me to Diadora to run her branch for some months. My Dad did not refuse after all it's business related.

I barely knocked on Nicholas' smooth coffee brown door "Finally!" I threw the silver nub open, paused, and stared back at him and Mint. Mint dropped the carrot on the white sheets and raced towards me.

I crouched and then caught him mid-air as he was about to jump "Gotcha! Who's a good boy" Mint pinched my clothes with his little paws as I brought him closer to my chest.

"Hey yo! What's up?" Nicholas half-yelled.

"Nick! You won't believe what happened" he adjusted to the right as I sat on the left side of the bed. "Well? What happened?" Nicholas moved the black lamp as he dropped the white remote of the air conditioner on the golden brown bedside table.

"Guess" I giggled tapping my white slippers on the soft cream carpet with a black circle design. It was amusing to watch his smile brush off the instant he heard that word.

"I don't know! Tell me" Nicholas exhaled and leaned forward, his eyes glimmered in anticipation. "We are... It's nothing, I was just kidding" Nicholas shoved my shoulders with eyebrows ceased "That was not cool bruh!"

Mint jumped to the ground and ran to his toys "Look! You startled him" I shoved Nicholas head "Ouch! Are you trying to break my neck?" he glared at me as he nursed his head.

"We are going to Diadora," I said in one breath

"Wait what? Did you say Diadora?" his eyes widened.

"You better believe it" I snapped my fingers with a smirk "It was all Mom's idea, phew! At least I can breathe fresh air"

"I know right? Your Dad needs to chill out, It's been months" Nicholas' head sank into the white pillow, and he let out a sigh of satisfaction "This just keeps getting better and better"

I scratched the back of my head and faked a smile "I wouldn't say that... Leo's team is coming too"

"Ugh! That man again" he whispered under his breath with an eye roll

"I hate him as much as you do but we shouldn't let him spoil our mood" I poked his side with my elbow. "You're right," Nicholas nodded with a small smile.

I looked down as I felt a light nudge on my leg "Mint!" I picked him up with a grin "Hey buddy, you wanna come too right?" I pouted at his button nose

"Aww... how adorable" Nicholas smiled mischievously as he waved the snap in my face. "Gimme that!" I tried severally to grab the phone but he was faster "Fine, you can keep it"

I took a small red strawberry from the white fruit bowl, it was next to a tilted red hardcover with the gold inscription "Adventures of Her" Mint reached out to my hand as I brought it closer, the fast movement of his mouth made me chuckle, Mint's eyes sparked like the midnight stars.

"Mint should sleep in your room today, he misses you" I darted my eyes to Nicholas then back to my munching bunny, "you think so?" His words made me kind of elated. I stood up with Mint in my hands "we're leaving tomorrow, get some rest okay?" I used my foot to close the door behind me.

...

By seven we were set to leave in the black private jet that had Walter's logo in gold. My Mom accompanied me to the rooftop, the moist morning breeze welcomed us with a wave, my Mom's long hair was blown into the wind, and the rising sun complemented its golden color.

I gave her hand a small squeeze with a reassuring smile "I'll miss you, take care of yourself Mom" her eyes glistened as she returned my smile "I'll miss you too my Lou, and don't let your father's character get to you, I know he will miss you too" I let go of her hand and started once more before turning back.

I sat close to the left window and waved at her until the mansion was completely out of sight. "You're such a Momma's boy" Nicholas broke the silence, I just glared at him and ignored him. He slapped my shoulder and laughed to his content.

"Where is Mint?" I looked behind the cream-cushioned chairs "Relax, he is sleeping in your room, he ate not quite long" I sat properly after his reply. I stared at the container of assorted wine dipped in ice attached to the wall.

I raised one in Nicholas' face "shall we?" he returned the naughty smile. I was about to open it when someone pulled it.

"Young master, this one has a high percentage of alcohol, I won't allow you to take it" Leonardo is a highly respected man, an expert in combat and martial arts, my father's most trusted guard in my circle, and a disciplinarian. That's him. He is a light-skinned black-haired tall man loaded with hefty muscles, Leo is always in his black uniform. He is forever ready to take up any task given by my Dad.

"Hmm... why are you here again?" I exhaled as I rested my back. "What else? To spoil the fun" Nicholas answered.

"Mr. Rogue! I'm ashamed of you, what are you teaching this child? His father trusted us to take care of him. What excuse will you give to Mr. Walter for his son getting drunk on his arrival to Diadora!" Leonardo lectured. Nicholas bowed his head without saying a word.

"Hey, leave him alone! It's not Nick's fault, it's mine" I glared back at him without blinking.

"You're bold, just like your father. Louis, you won't want to provoke your Dad in Diadora with some bizarre drama, would you? Not to mention me and Mr. Rogue will be held responsible"

I turned my head the other way, staring at the silver clouds with their blue background. I thought about what he said, I couldn't care less about him but I don't want Nick to be punished.

"Okay Leo, I'll stay put... just this once" I murmured then walked to my room. I slowly opened the door and peeked, Mint was coiled up in his big golden bed surrounded by little white pillows, his golden brown duvet was halfway to the ground.

The door opened as I stepped on the soft white carpet, I remembered playing with the automatic glass door when I was thirteen.  I also recalled staring at the cream ceiling decorated with an in-built circle of golden lights.

I sat on my bed covered in white sheets, five golden pillows, and a matching big blanket. The bed back wall has a white background with rectangular gold lines. My eyes darted to the off-white bedside table, it had a tray of three different wine brands, it was as if my eyes were glued to them, and my index finger tapped impatiently.

I stared at the bottle and then withdrew "This is for Nick." I shook my head. "Let's just stick with this." I grabbed the orange fruit juice by the side. I took a sip from the glass tumbler and then dropped it.

My body was spread to all four corners as I laid on the pillow, my eyes were focused on the white cabinets attached to the wall. I couldn't stop thinking about why I saw that silver-haired creature in my dream last night.
