FIONA's POV
I didn't know if I should drive to find him or just go inside the salon and talk about it later. I took a deep breath to calm down so that I can think straight.
I explained to the taxi driver and he let me borrow his phone, I closed my eyes and thought of the day he gave me his digit and I could see when I first laid my eyes on it.
I memorized it then opened my eyes to call.
I tried several times before he picked.
"Louis! What is wrong with you? I've been calling, Are you with my phone"
"Hmm... maybe, maybe not"
"Look, I don't have time for your games, are you with my phone or not?"
"No one asked you to leave it in my car"
"Great! So it's there, how can I get it?"
"I'm at home already, I won't go back to the road just to give you your phone, come get it... no, my Dad is still here" the last part sounded like a whisper
"What should I do? How can I get it?"
"I know you won't have any urgent calls...so tomorrow, 10 am, Magnolia park, don't be late"
He hung up before I could even say anything, tomorrow being another public holiday and my day off this inconsiderate person has successfully spoiled my day.
I woke up early, arranged my house, did my homework and refreshed again then left the house thirty minutes before time dressed in an orange long sleeves gown, black flats and my hair tied in a black ribbon.
I arrived early with no sign of him and I settled on a bench. Although the day was sunny it blew just the right amount of cool breeze I needed, I bent my head staring at the green grasses and the few sprouting baby flowers.
The sound of the water fountain made me shift my gaze. I loved the sight of nature, ignoring the few humans scattered around the park.
"Hello beautiful" I jumped to the edge of the chair as a deep voice whispered in my ears
"You startled me!" I yelled with a hand on my chest as I tried to catch my breath.
"Oh...sorry" he laughed with no sign of remorse. I found his expression irking to my core yet my inner voice betrayed me by finding it somewhat cute
"You easily get frightened" Louis prolonged his laughter possibly because he found his words amusing. I wasn't expecting the person to be him because of the way his voice sounded deeper than usual which he faked on purpose.
"Just gimme my phone, I want to go home" I exhaled slowly. All this unnecessary outdoor journey was making me sick.
"Oh, your phone! Hmmm... about that..."
I stood up with widened eyes tugging his sleeves "What happened? Is it okay? Where is it?"
He just smiled and bowed his head a bit, my blood was boiling internally as I thought of why he should be smiling at a time like this.
I tightened the grip on his hand and moved closer with a stern look
"I'd ask for the last time, where is my phone?" I emphasized every word to be sure I was clear. My eyebrows furrowed as he laughed hard instead of being scared or serious.
"Relax, if you kill me you'd never find your phone" I hesitated before taking some steps backward then he slipped his hand in the pocket of his white jeans and brought it out.
I grabbed it in a second with a sigh of relief "Thank you" I smiled weakly before walking away.
LOUIS' POV
I found myself smiling as she walked away happily, I would have loved to make her stay longer but I got other things to do and I guess she does too.
As I walked to my blue car, men suited in black were already waiting by the door, if I didn't order them to stay they could have followed me.
At last, I saw the big polished black gate. I didn't know if I should be happy or not.
The white huge mansion was the first anyone would lay eyes on, its lustrous black roof complemented the golden lights on the wall which reflected its glittery effect on the ground.
Both corners of the building were decorated by the greenish impact of the grasses trimmed with artistic taste.
The garden nearby filled with distinct types of flowers and trees did the finishing touch. The house had a glass greenhouse in the backyard which could not be seen together with the garage and big pool.
My driver stopped in front of the building so that I could go in, the door was opened and everyone greeted me as I walked past them to go through the black and gold entrance.
The same set of men followed me to the silver elevator illuminated by golden lights. My bodyguards act like someone would kidnap me in my house but I don't blame them for following Dad's orders.
I clicked the number '4' button, only the sound of the air conditioner could be heard until we arrived. I walked to the second door and slipped my key card then the door opened.
My room was at least three times the regular, it was painted in white and rose gold, my king-size bed leaned close to the wall clothed in white sheets.
Its neatly arranged pillows and blanket had a touch of dark brown which complimented the brown footstool in front, on the right was a white bed lamp with a golden base seated on a white drawer and on the left was a glass vase which contains fresh plants.
The white ceiling had a three-step layer which produced golden lights by the edges and had a rose gold chandelier in the middle. The other part of my room was a medium-sized library, the bathroom, the bar stand and my reading spot which I rarely use.
First I took a long bath in my jacuzzi and had a glass of champagne to go with it, got dressed in yellow joggers before jumping to the comfort of my bed with a satisfactory sigh.
"And you're back" I heard a voice from the library, it was someone I wouldn't want to see, at least now.
