FIONA's POV
"It was an emergency" he tried to explain but the look on their faces remained the same.
"Bye, thanks again" I walked away quickly.
After having lunch in the cafeteria I was about to leave when my eyes locked with Louis that was going in, I turned my head instantly.
"Fiona, I wanted to ask you a question" he changed direction, I turned and nodded.
"Can we talk privately?" he whispered but it sounded normal to me, I bet a human could only read his lips to understand.
I paused for a moment before I nodded, his friends behind him looked at themselves knowingly as Louis walked to my direction and waved them.
We were silent until we reached the garden, he sighed as he relaxed on the bench inhaling the smell of nature.
"Blah! I hate flowers" he shook his head.
"You wanted to talk?" I turned to him, he tapped the space. I hesitated before I sat at the other edge. He looked at me until our eyes met.
"I just wanted to ask what's your secret" he moved closer, I looked around before turning to him.
"W-What secret?" I stammered
"You know...the secret to your good grades"
I sighed with a smile, I thought he knew, I guess no one does and I should stop thinking about people having ideas. Louis disrupted my thoughts as he tapped my hand.
"Oh yeah, the secret...is to create time for studying"
"Why do you all keep saying that" he groaned with his head up.
"...what if you tried but it's not just working?"
"Then you should get a teacher for after school lessons, it will help you become more serious"
"Hey! That makes sense, thanks" he grinned at me, I could clearly see his face, he had a pointed nose and set of teeth like freshly fallen snow, his ocean blue eyes sparkled like a galaxy full of stars.
The sound of the bell brought me back to reality. We both stood up to leave but I was stopped by his voice
"What class do you have now?"
"English"
"Me too...can I stick with you for some time, the next test is coming soon, right? I won't want to start with bad grades. Would you please help me?"
After thinking shortly I nodded then he thanked me.
When we got to class, he sat next to me which was something unexpected and unusual but I tried not to make anything look weird.
Dylan and Jack smiled in our direction until they sat on the last roll, behind us. My shoulders stiffened, I couldn't pretend I was okay with today's change.
We also had history class before the day was over, they maintained the same sitting arrangement which bothers me, when I told Louis he can stick around I didn't mean like this.
When I heard the bell I packed my bag and left when he was talking to some boys.
I was about to board a taxi when I was tapped by someone.
"Did you understand what the teacher said today? Well, I didn't, not even a word" Louis half-smiled as he grabbed the strap of his bag. I smiled weakly and turned my head back to the road.
"Where are you going?"
"Home"
He nodded and parted his lips to say something but the loud sound of a car drew our attention. Louis frowned and walked to its direction.
"Is that the proper way to get to me?" He kicked the side of the car for a moment I thought his leg would penetrate through the door.
"Next time you do that I will fire you personally, understand?"
"Y-Yes sir, I-I'm sorry" the voice of the man sounded as if he was talking to a giant.
Louis turned to me with a chuckle as he scratched his nape bone.
"Bye Fiona, I'm leaving" he waved and I did the same.
Muscular men in suits and thick black glasses came from the car behind to open the door, he waved again before entering, shortly after both cars zoomed off.
I boarded a taxi and went straight home to do my homework, clean my apartment and eat dinner before sleeping.
A week passed and Louis did not stop the new behavior of his, although I'm happy Dylan and Jack gave me some space after a few days, the real problem is Louis and he wouldn't give me a breathing space of at least thirty minutes, each time I plan to tell him I will end up saying nothing.
Sometimes I intentionally spend more time in the cafeteria and bathroom because he doesn't bother me there.
It was break so I was just taking a stroll around but I didn't find it relaxing because he was trailing behind. I didn't ask for a bodyguard but he has given me without asking.
I turned and saw him talking with Susan, that was the perfect distraction I needed. Slowly I walked back into an empty classroom and closed the door.
I walked to a seat and rested my head with my eyes closed, I was dozing when I heard the sound of the doorknob
"Oh Fiona, there you are," he smiled and sat beside me. I sighed deeply as if all hope was lost.
I raised my head and found him staring without blinking, I broke the contact immediately.
"What are you looking at?" Those words escaped from my mouth.
"Your eyes...it's beautiful, are they lenses?"
"No, thank you" I smiled faintly
"They are real? Woah! I've never seen this shade of blue eyes before" he waved over my face.
"I can see you" my eyebrows furrowed, deep down I didn't blame him for his actions. My eyes are like clouds on a sunny day so it's normal for people to think I'm putting on a contact lens or just half-blind.
"Can you really see me?" he squinted as he leaned forward.
"Yes I can" I emphasized every word as I bent backward.
Louis ignored my words and kept on investigating my eyes. I couldn't move anymore because I felt my body was unstable enough and I could not part my mouth because of our closeness.
He leaned closer and I automatically moved, making me lose my balance and wrapped both hands around him. He quickly held the table and tightened his hand on my waist causing our lips to collide together.
