FIONA's POV
"Hmm... no, he's just my friend, my best friend" I answered avoiding their stares.
"Really? But... you guys act like a couple" my cheeks turned red when I heard Molly's words.
"Is it a 'friends with benefits' kinda thing?" Hilda reduced her voice while still staring.
"No, just good friends" I replied feeling uncomfortable.
We shared an awkward moment of silence for some time "Wow! I like your drawings, nice sense of fashion" Molly grinned at my work "thanks" I replied with a smile. Hilda looked at my work, her eyes widened "Wow, this is good" she nodded, I flashed a smile in appreciation.
They went back to snapping their one hundred and one photos, all I could hear was the sound of the cameras. I was glad I could concentrate on my drawing now.
After an hour Molly screamed her oesophagus out "Dylan, honey! The boys are back" she flew out of her chair, Jack kissed Hilda on her cheeks "Did you miss me baby?" her cheeks had a light shade of red "of course I did" she rubbed her wrist as she looked the other direction.
I began to scribble faster on my note as I noticed Louis placed a hand on the brown table and gazed intensely. With his naughty look and his eyebrow arched like that he successfully passed the message
"That smirk! My heart goes boom boom! Phew! Breathe Fiona, calm down. Like I always say, being an introvert is a talent" I said internally.
"Fiona, I'm back" Louis wiggled a brow, I raised my head and nodded "welcome" I said with a small smile then buried my face back in my rubbish.
We ordered breakfast, talked for some time before we said our goodbyes.
The sound of the vehicle horns, singing of the ice cream stand, the chirping of hummingbirds on the tree, conversations of people, the opening and closing of the bakery doors, all was like music to my ears.
When I glanced at Louis with my side view all I could see was a warm person who cares for those dear to him and holds them close. He is friendly, kind and loves his bunny. But the Internet said some very bad things about him being rude and egoistic. If I've never discussed with him maybe I will conclude he is what they say he is.
All I can say is that he is not a bad person and I love him... as a friend that's why I trust him. But I feel there is something behind that radiant smile, it seems that he is happy most times but I feel like I don't know Louis the way I should.
"His smile sparks my curiosity more and more. Who is this guy?" I internally questioned.
I think what he need is a hug and someone to talk to, I hate it when his blue eyes look dull like a river after a storm in spring, if there was a way I could help soothe his tidal waves I will dive right into his oceans
I darted my eyes to look at Louis, his eyebrows were creased and his eyes fixed on his silhouette. I suspected he was mad or just thinking about something.
"How was it? Did you enjoy your stay?" Louis grinned as his eyes met mine.
He did it again! Mood switch! One moment he's mad and the next second he's smiling. At times like this I wonder if Louis is fine emotionally and mentally. I nodded "it was okay" "Hmmm" he nodded back.
Louis paused on his tracks and I was forced to look back, his eyes fixed on his shadow, my eyebrows furrowed as I stared at him. "Fine... if you wanna play dumb soothe yourself" I said inwardly then turned on my heels.
