Two days passed after that tragic meeting of the Bariya and Desai families. Reena was inconsolable and Rocky began drinking to drown his sorrows. Reena didn't answer Rocky's calls or messages.

The night of the second day, Reya opened the main door and found Rocky standing there Reya could see that he was sloshed, he smelt of whiskey. Rocky stumbled his way to his room. Reya felt sad to see her brother like that she went near her Papa and Dadi and told, "Today also Rocky has come home drunk." "I can't see my Bache like this, am I alive to see him suffering like this." Lamented Indrajit. Ram closed his eyes in worry as he feared that his son's life might go to waste if he continues this attitude.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Desai couldn't bear to see his daughter in tears. Reena's eyes and face became red and swollen she was inconsolable. Rajendra Desai felt weak and powerless seeing his daughter in grief. His worries got increased as Reena suffered a wheezing attack due to continuous crying. Tears poured out of his eyes as he saw his daughter suffering. "Reena Bache please, I didn't even shed a single drop of tear when your mother left us but I couldn't see you crying." He sobbed. "Papa" cried Reena as she hugged him. Rajendra Desai wiped his tears and Reena's too and made Reena have her medicine, made her drink a glass of warm water, and made her sleep holding his hand as he used to do when Reena used to cry for her mother when she was young. 

Once Reena slept he went to his Room. The next morning Reena opened her swollen eyes slowly and searched for her father, she slowly went to his room and found her father in his bed, She sat next to him and kissed his forehead, she felt her father was a bit pale, she touched his hands and her heart went cold. She contacted the Reception of the Hotel they were staying at and told them to arrange an ambulance. The ambulance carrying Rajendra Desai hurried its way to the hospital and Rajendra Desai was carried in a stretcher to the emergency ward. Negative thoughts clouded Reena's mind and she couldn't think straight. Her only hope and solace were Rocky, she fumbled through her handbag and found her phone, and called Rocky.

Rocky woke up hearing his phone ringing, he attended to the call and kept the phone against his ear, and said "Hello" in a sleepy tone. "Ro-rocky" cried Reena making Rocky sit up. "Shona?" he said. "Rocky....Papa... was un-unconscious I brought him to Lifeline Hospital, I am scared, I don't know whom to call I am scared." Cried, Reena. "Baby, just calm down and breathe with me first." Said Rocky as he heard Reena breathing unevenly over the phone. "I am on my way stay with me online." Said Rocky he rushed to the bathroom and splashed cold water on his face to get rid of his hangover.

 He got dressed fast and drove to the hospital where he found his Shona sitting alone outside the emergency ward. As soon as she saw Rocky she threw herself on him and cried her heart out. "Shona, baby please stop crying I am here." Said Rocky hugging her tight and rubbing her back vigorously to make her feel his presence. The Doctor came out and found the couple in each other's arms. He cleared his throat to gain their attention and Rocky broke the hug slightly and said, "Yes, doctor." "Well, the patient has suffered his first cardiac arrest, we have performed a very minor surgery, said the doctor. Reena got scared and looked at Rocky shocked, "These kinds of surgeries are quite common now he can return to his routine after a rest of six weeks." Said the Doctor in a consoling manner and left the place. Reena snuggled into Rocky and closed her eyes, Rocky noticed her face which had become pink and swollen as the result of nonstop crying.

 His heart crumpled as he saw his Shona in such a state. The nurse came there and said, "You can meet your father, he has gained his conscious so don't disturb him and fill out this form." Reena was about to take the form from the nurse with shaky hands but Rocky took it from her and filled it out. Reena and Rocky walked into Rajendra Desai's room, Rocky followed her a bit far from her. Reena burst into tears as she saw her father with many tubes and wires attached to him. Rajendra Desai looked at her and tried to speak slowly, "I am alright Bache." But Reena continued to cry and she felt her head spinning and her vision blackens out, she fell unconscious in Rocky's arms. Rajendra Desai panicked but Rocky took her in his arms and called the nurse and arranged a stretcher and got medical attention for her. Rocky came to Rajendra Desai's chamber and said, "Uncle please don't worry I am here to help you both, I'll take care of Shona." Rajendra Desai nodded helplessly. Soon a nurse came and gave Rocky a prescription and told him to buy the medicines. 

Rajendra Desai saw Rocky continuously walking to his room and Reena's room and doing all the formalities. "Reena has chosen a good and caring man as her partner, he is surely the right person for her." Thought Rajendra Desai as he saw Rocky continuously moving without rest. Reena gained consciousness and she got up and found Rocky sitting next to her holding her hand his eyes were closed, and her other hand was connected to a bottle of glucose through drips. She hissed as she felt pain when she moved her other hand. The slight movement by Reena made Rocky open his eyes, "Shona, you are okay right." Said Rocky as he cupped her face.

 "I am fine Rocky, where is Papa?" she asked. "He is in the other room, he is alright now. You fainted because of low sugar, first eat something then have your medicines after that I'll take you to your Father, okay?" said Rocky. He brought some food and fed her Reena ate it without any fuss as she felt hungry. "Did you eat?" she asked him. "First you finish your food." Said Rocky forwarding the spoon again. Once Reena had her medicines, Rocky called a nurse to remove the needle and he carried her to her Father's room. "Papa" cried Reena as she went near him. Rajendra Desai wiped away her tears slightly and noticed Rocky who was standing a bit far away from them. He gestured for him to come near them and he held Rocky's hands. "Reena bache I never felt bad for not having a son, 'cause I should have divided the love I have on you, but when I saw the way this young man was rushing between two rooms, even though your relationship is not officially accepted. I felt jealous of Ram Bariya for having such a gem as his son. I am now confident that you will never let my daughter suffer no matter what. I happily agree with your marriage." Said Rajendra Desai.
