CHAPTER-53

Sorry for not updating yesterday.

In Rocky's native village,

That evening, Rocky took Reena to the barn area and showed her the cows, goats, hens, and the rabbits. 

Reena loved the place, the sound of cows mooing and the goats bleating, the hens clucking and the cute rabbits running around her. 

Rocky caught one and made it lie on Reena's lap. Reena touched the head of the rabbit with shivering hands but soon she got used to it and the little bunny loved her touch and snuggled to her and rested on the crook of her arm pressing its woffly nose against her skin.

 Reena was surprised to see Rocky milking the cows. She helped him feed the calves and their mothers by taking out the hay from the bales. She liked the place apart from Rashmi's snarky looks and comments. 

"Rocky when are you taking to your special place?" asked Reena as they both washed their hands after playing with the animals. "Tonight, after dinner." Said Rocky as he took her hand in his and walked back to the house.

 Reena decided to cook dinner as Rocky did not eat taste her cooking much after she started her hotel.

 She walked into the kitchen and found the cook Lakshmi there gathering things to prepare supper. 

Rocky had a call from office so he did not see Reena slip away from him. Reena made Masala Dosas, Coconut Chutney, Chili Chutney and Mathur Vadas. 

Indrajit Dadi walked into the kitchen sniffing the delicious aroma of the food being prepared. "Wah Wah what a delicious smell, beti I never knew you know cooking." Said Indrajit dadi looking around the food prepared by Reena. 

"The food is ready to be served dadi." Said Reena with a smile. Indrajit nodded and was about to call Rashmi and Rocky. But Rocky came there searching his Shona.

 "See Rocky Reena beti has prepared dinner." Said Indrajit dadi. Rocky smiled and everyone settled to have dinner. 

Reena offered to serve so Rashmi sat down. Reena filled everyone's plates with the delicious food. Rocky took his first bite and closed his eyes in bliss. Rashmi also enjoyed the taste but she didn't express it. 

"Wah beti what a taste." Exclaimed Indrajit dadi. "Rocky beta you are so lucky." She continued. Reena's heart and stomach filled as she saw Rocky enjoying her food. 

After finishing their dinner both Dadi and Priya left. Rocky refilled his plate and fed Reena by his hands. 

Post- dinner Roeena sneaked out of the house through the back exit. They walked through the fields and found a small hut in the middle of the fields. Rocky took Reena behind that hut and he turned the flash light on his phone and gave it in Reena's hand, he found a shovel nearby and began digging while Reena held the torch.

 After sometime he took out a bag from which he took out a small wooden box. He wiped the box clean and opened it and took out a key. Rocky gestured Reena to follow him and he unlocked the small hut and both went inside. 

There was an old-fashioned lamp with some kerosene in it. Rocky took out a box of matches from his pocket and lit the lamp. "Turn off the flash light Shona." Said Rocky and both sat on the floor of the hut.

 The hut was clean as it was always closed and no dust could enter. Rocky made Reena sit between his legs and hugged her from back. "This is my little treasure, Shona." Said Rocky opening the box.

 Reena opened the box and she found lots of things in it. First, she took out a keychain with Rocky engraved in it. Rocky touched it and said, "I bought this in a Fair that took place in this village."

 The next thing was an old photograph in which Ram, Priya, Rocky, Reya, Rashmi along with an old couple. "Is this Badi dadi?" asked Reena touching the photo. "Yes, and that is Badi dadu." Said Rocky pointing out.

 Next, Reena found a small bracelet made of tiny white shells and a lavender shell in the middle. "I always pick these shells when I used to go to the pond area, Shona." Said Rocky. 

"I think this bracelet will be perfect for our princess." Continued Rocky pressing a kiss on her temple. 

Reena blushed and took out a small pouch, she opened it and found some glass marbles. Likewise, Rocky told stories about each and everything in that box. 

After sometime he found some weight on his arm and understood that Reena had slept. He slowly lifted her and closed the door of the hut and carried her back to the house. Luckily, the back door was still open and he managed to go in without anyone's notice.
