The next Sunday Rocky brought a small box into Reya's room. 

Reena was sitting on Reya's bed with snacks as Reya just returned from the Cricket practice.

 "Reya are you done changing?" called out Reena.

 "One minute Mumma," Reya shouted back. 

Reena noticed Rocky coming in with a box, she guessed what might be inside the box and Rocky gestured her not to make any sound. 

He hid the box under the bed and sat next to Reena. 

"I have got a puppy for Princess." Whispered Rocky to Reena. 

Reena smiled and waited for Reya to come out. 

Reya came out of the bathroom, sat between Roeena, and began eating her snacks.

 "Reya, I have a surprise for you." Said Rocky.

 Reya thought for a moment and said, "Is it the new phone I asked for?" asked Reya. 

Reena widened her eyes and said in a stern tone, "We will get you a phone only when you start college." 

Reya pouted and, saying Papa told me he'll buy me one soon."

 "When did you say such things, Rocky?" asked Reena.

 "I don't remember saying anything like that, Shona." Said Rocky pinching his neck like a schoolboy.

 "Papa, lying is bad. You told me that I'll buy you a new phone soon on that day when we both went to the mall to play VR games." Said Reya and she immediately bit her tongue as she realized she blurted out a secret between her and Rocky.

 "Oh, many things are going on without my knowledge." Said Reena steely looking at the father and daughter.

 "Shona, that was only once." Said Rocky sheepishly.

 Reena shook her head and a small squeak came from nowhere, that caught Reya's attention.

 "Papa, Mumma did you hear that?" asked Reya. 

Roeena knew it was the puppy and Rocky said, "Yeah, why don't you search for it?"

 Reya got down from her bed, looked around, and checked the washroom too.

 Another muffled sound came and Reya went under the bed and pulled a box. 

She looked at Rocky and he gestured her to open the box. She opened it and a fluffball jumped on Reya. 

The puppy licked all over Reya and cuddled to her. Reya squealed in joy as the puppy licked her and hugged it.

 "Papa, I love this, thank you." Said Reya patting the head of the puppy. 

Rocky picked up the puppy and lifted it gently and gave it to Reena.

 The puppy snuggled to her and licked her neck. "Rocky, this is nice." Said Reena kissing the puppy on his nose. 

"We must name him." Said Rocky picking up Reya and making her sit on his lap.

 "It's so Fluffy nah, so we'll call him Fluffy." Said Reya taking the puppy's paw. 

"So, Reya Fluffy is your responsibility. 

You must make sure that he has his food and water. Pets trust us completely for food and water. 

Mumma and I will take him out for walking." Said Rocky.

 "Okay, Papa." Said Reya nodding. 

Reena gave the puppy in Reya's hands and said, "Baby animals will feel anxious if we leave them alone for a long time, so always keep your eyes on him." 

Reya nodded as she patted the puppy.

 Rocky made Reya sit on the bed and brought a small booklet.

 "This is his vaccination schedule, I am leaving with you, you must remind us to take him for vaccination." Said Rocky passing the booklet to Reya.

 Reya nodded and placed the puppy on the bed and kept the booklet safely in her cupboard. Roeena smiled at Reya as she acted all grown up.
