That evening,

The Bariya family gathered in the living room, Rocky was a bit nervous to reveal this news to his parents.

"Raja, you called us and you are quiet." Said Ram.

"Papa, I have homework." Said Reya in a cross-tone.

"Yes, I'll just take two minutes of your evening. I just wanted to say that...that...soon a person is going to join us in this house." Said Rocky with a bashful smile.

Reena controlled her blush as Rocky said this.

"What?, is that Australian, ah what's his name.... ah Richard, is he going to stay in our house?" asked Ram.

"No Papa." Said Rocky as his father did not get his words.

"There is a... something in Shona's tummy." Said Rocky.

"Coffee, Papa. Mumma drank coffee, it must be in her tummy." Said Reya.

 "No" blurted out Rocky.

Reena covered her face with her palms unable to watch the scenario.

"Raja beta, is Reena Beti okay?" asked Ram quite concerned.

"Shona is pregnant." Said Rocky in a single go.

"What?!" asked Ram in an excited tone.

He went near Reena and she tried to bend and take his blessings but he stopped her and touched her head.

"God bless you, Beti." Said Ram and went and hugged Rocky.

"Pregnant means what, Papa?" asked Reya confused.

"It means you are going to have a small brother or sister, there is a baby in Mumma's tummy." Said Rocky lifting Reya.

"Baby coming?" asked Reya with a huge smile.

"Yes." Said Reena as she kissed Reya's cheek.

"When will the baby come?" asked Reya in an excited tone.

 "In nine months." Said Reena.

"Nine months, that long?" asked Reya with disappointment.

"Nine months will fly away." Said Rocky.

"My Reya is a big sister now." Said Rocky kissing Reya's nose.

Reya giggled

Post dinner, Roeena and Reya were in the TV room watching cartoons.

"Papa, I have a doubt." Said Reya.

"Yes, Princess." Said Rocky as he was massaging Reena's feet.

"How did the baby go inside Mumma's tummy?" asked Reya.

Rocky looked at Reena for help and Reena said, "Mumma and Papa prayed to God and God answered our prayers."

Reya looked at Reena with disbelief and turned towards Rocky and said, "But, my friend said when Papa kisses Mumma, she will have a baby."

"What?!" asked Rocky with his eyes wide.

"Kids in Primary school discuss this," thought Rocky as he went on massaging.

"So, it is." Asked Reya.

"Yes." Said Rocky with a shrug.

"Rocky!" said Reena in a stern tone.

"What Shona?, Do you want me to lie to her?" asked Rocky.

"Mumma, saying untruths is bad." Piped up Reya.

Reena glared at Roeya and said in a stern tone, "Reya, you will know everything when you have to, now concentrate on learning tables, okay".

"Okay, Mumma." Said Reya.

"Now TV off and straight to bed." Said Reena standing up.

Priya put Reya to bed and Roeena went to their room,

"Why did you do that, Rocky?" asked Reena.

"Then, what do you expect me to say, Kids are so fast these days and I remember talking about marble fights and pen fights during primary school days." Said Rocky sitting on the bed.

"I hope she doesn't overthink." Said Reena lying on the bed.

Rocky chuckled and said, "Shona, we also crossed this phase and we also had the same questions, when Ma was pregnant with Reya, even I wondered how it happened. Just chill she will be all right. Now you do not overthink and stress my baby, okay." Said Rocky placing a kiss on her tummy.

He lay beside Reena and held her carefully without putting much weight on her tummy.

The next day, Rocky took the responsibility of making Reya ready and dropping her to school and he worked from home, he set up a mini office in his room and worked from there.

Rajendra Desai flew down immediately to meet his daughter.

Priya did not understand the fuss, but she maintained a steady relationship with everyone.

Reya started her cricket coaching; she trained every weekend in Rocky's academy.

Rocky was immensely proud of her and played with her whenever he was free.
