Reena prepared the cake batter and placed the dish in the oven.

 Rocky entered the kitchen with a wide smile and hugged her from back.

 "Rocky, the house helps may come, move." Said Reena as she mixed the chocolate syrup. 

"I don't care, I have decided on a gift for the princess." Said Rocky kissing her earlobes, he held her ear lobe between his teeth, biting it gently. 

Reena placed the bowl on the counter and pushed him away slightly and turned around with her eyebrows raised, "What?" asked Reena. 

"A cricket kit bag." Said Rocky. 

Reena thought for a moment and said, "Umm, that is nice. I thought of giving her one, now I must think of a new gift." Said Reena picking up the bowl again. 

Rocky frowned a bit and said, "It's our gift to her, Shona. Not my gift."

 "I understand yaar, but I want to give her one too." Said Reena mixing slowly.

 Rocky looked at her for some time and found her a bit pale and weak.

 He went near her and hugged her a bit and asked, "Baby, are you having your period?"

 "No, Rocky." Said Reena a bit surprised.

 "But you seem a bit tired, are you overworking then?" asked Rocky. 

"No baby, I am okay. Maybe a bit tired as I am taking care of everything like you, Reya, cooking, office, and all." Said Reena. 

"There are house helps here nah, let them cook." Said Rocky burying his head in the crook of her neck.

 Reena places the bowl back and hugged Rocky back.

 They both were lost in each other and parted only when the oven bell dinged.

 Reena took out the cake and Rocky inhaled the aroma of a fresh cake. 

"Mmmm, Shona, what a lovely smell." Said Rocky.

 "If you love my cooking this much, then how will I let the house help cook?" asked Reena as she let the cake cool.

 "Mmm, you are right. Everybody enjoys your cooking, and I am slogging off in the gym every day, else my six packs will become a family pack." Said Rocky as Reena topped the chocolate cake with some chocolate syrup.

 "I do not cook, unhealthy stuff. I cook a balanced meal with all carbs and sugar in check, high protein, and with good fat." Said Reena adding the final touches to her cake.

 "I know you baby; you do things that are good for everyone." Said Rocky.

 "I used to make Reya play in the mud to build her immunity, every day back in Australia." Said Reena as she carried the cake to the dining area with Rocky following her.

 "I'll go wake up Princess." Said Rocky as he went upstairs. 

Reena sat on the chair and looked at her cake, she heard footsteps and thought it was Roeya but it was Priya. 

Reena's mind went blank as she was never alone with Priya. 

Priya saw the cake and said, "Reya likes it." 

Reena nodded rather hesitatingly and looked for Rocky.

 Priya looked at Reena and Reena looked at her back the silence was broken by daddy and daughter as Rocky carried Reya and brought her down.

 "Mumma" squealed Reya and hugged Reena's legs she climbed and stood on the chair and looked at the cake. 

"Yay! Chocolate cake." And Reya was about to touch it but Reena said in a stern voice, "Reya, go wash your hands first." 

Reya pouted and left for the washbasin and came back, Reena gave a butter knife to Reya and she cut a piece.

 Reya took a big bite and fed some to Reena and then to Rocky. Reya noticed Priya there and said, "Dadi, here." Offering her a piece. Roeena smiled at Reya's gesture.

That night,

Reena was changing into her nightwear and she was about to close her cupboard, but something struck her. 

She took her phone and checked the calendar and she her eyes widened, "maybe.... maybe.... its...its..." thought Reena. 

She closed her eyes and her hands went to her tummy. 

"Shona are you in" called out Rocky.

 Reena brushed away the little drops of tears in the corner of her eyes and answered, "I am coming, Rocky." 

Reena walked into the bedroom and found Rocky sitting on the bed.

 "Shona, are you okay?" asked Rocky. 

She sat next to him and smiled, "Yes, why suddenly?" asked Reena. 

"You looked a bit serious, that's why." Said Rocky lying on the bed. 

Reena lay turned off the lights and settled on the bed taking her phone, she decided to buy some testing kits online. 

"Baby, what are you looking at on your phone, it's late. Sleep." Said Rocky.

 "In a minute." Said Reena placing the order and she made sure it was delivered to her office.

 "Shona, I am going to take that from you." Said Rocky. 

"One minute more, I promise." Said Reena finishing the payment.

 "Done." Said Reena as she placed the phone on her side table, Rocky hugged her and she hugged him back feeling anxious, he helps her to calm down, she buried her face into his neck sniffing his neck, and she felt his hands move into her shirt cupping her breast.

 She stopped him, Rocky was baffled as she never stopped him, "Not today please." Whined Reena. 

"I am feeling a bit tired." She added quickly. 

Rocky smiled and pecked her lips, "It's okay baby, even I am thinking the same, you are a bit weak. Maybe I must take you to the hospital when I take Ma for her next checkup. Said Rocky cupping her face.

 "Let's hold each other and sleep." Said Reena avoiding the topic. 

"It's better if you spoon me." Said Reena as she turned into a position that would be easy for him to spoon her. 

"I love you, Shona." Said Rocky as kissed her cheek and buried his face in her hair.

 "I love you too baby." Said Reena as she held his hands, she felt Rocky's calm breathing and understood that he was fast asleep. 

Various thoughts filled her head like, "Will this be right?"

"Reya is our priority now, are we ready for another one?", 

"How will Rocky react?", 

"How will Reya react?". 

Slowly Reena dozed off as sleep embraced her along with her husband.
