I screwed up my science test (i didnt fail I just fucked up and forgot to review and got a low-ish score hahahaha)

So instead of reviewing like a normal person, i put it into this oneshot!

You frowned as you held the exam paper tightly in your hands. Your score was several points below passing which sucks because you're in Hope's Peak Academy! Your parents paid so much just for you to enroll and yet your grades are still mediocre.

Luckily one of your closest friends is the Ultimate Chemist so...

"Can you please tutor me!" You pleaded. Charles blinked once, then twice, then let out a sigh, "What do you need me to help you with?"

"Uhhhh...ahahahaha....basic chemistry...." You muttered. "What?" He looks at you in a mix of confusion and disbelief. "I'm sorry! I failed at my exam and I wanted to be an honor student please help me!!!" You were practically begging at this point. "Fine. Fine. Just meet me in my room after school." "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!"

{ After School }

Charles looks at your papers and lets out sigh. "This is really basic stuff."

"I know...I'm sorry..." You apologized for the nth time. "Okay so we're going to review the topics in you exam before we deal with everything else. First off, the 4 kinds of chemical reactions." Charles proceeds to write 4 chemical reactions which have different results. "Okay, name these."

"Uh....Confession, Breakup, Cheating and Double Cheating???" You knew what it is but not the names.

"It's Combination, Decomposition, Single Replacement and Double Replacement. Where did you even get those terminologies? From Whit!?"

"Ahahaha..."

{ Later }

"So to balance these chemicals, you need to get the LCM." Charles explained as he wrote the reactions of the board. "What's LCM?" You asked. "Least Common Multiple." He said. "....???" You don't remember what is that. "Good riddance..." "Sorry..."

"Lets start with this one: H₂ + P₂ → PH₃. I would normally skip over to finding LCM but to make this easier for you we're gonna use a table. We separate the reactants from the products vertically and we separate the unique elements horizontally." Charles proceeds to draw the table just as he said. You also copied what he drew so you can follow along.

"We're going to start balancing phosphorus. The LCM of 2 and 1 is 2-" "Wait how is it 2???" You asked. "You know the multiples of 2 and 1, right? Basically its the smallest multiple that they both have in common." He explained. "Ohhhh ok I remember now!"

"We change the number of moles of PH₃ to 2 but because of the 2, helium is also affected making it 6. So now we have to balance helium so both sides are 6."

"3...right?"

"Yes. And that's how to balance chemicals."

{ Evening }

After several hours, you finally understood the topics. "Sorry." "Why are you saying sorry?" He asked. "I took so much of your time when you could have spent it doing something else." You said.

Charles lets out a sigh, "(Y/N), you may be stupid but it's not stupid to ask for help. Besides, I didn't mind it at all."

"Thank you. I promise I'll find a way to pay you back!" You exclaimed. "No need." "Eh? But-" "I said no need!" He suddenly raised his voice. Upon the realization, Charles covers his face with the back of his hand.

"Okay then...I'll see you tomorrow then! Love you!" You waved him goodbye as you went to your dorm. "D-Did they really just say that...!?"
