Mercy
🦋
I opened my eyes as a bright light was being shone down upon me. Its was so bright as I sat up and looked around me. I was in a field by a pond. Where was I?
I stood to my feet and looked down at my outfit. I was wearing a beautiful white dress with no shoes. What happened? I looked to the pond that was crystal clear and walked towards it. It was beautiful. There were lilies and frogs everywhere. The frogs weren't green like normal. They were all kinds of colors.
I smiled amazed, then looked into the water. The fish were swimming around unbothered. I was so jealous that they got to reside in such a beautiful place. The woman in my reflection didn't look like me though. She looked different. She had fiery red hair and bright blue eyes. Was this my soul I was looking at? I didn't allow myself to think on it.
I shrugged still smiling, then looked around for anyone, but no one came into view. I looked back at the pond. It's beauty called out to me as I went to take a step forward.
"No you don't, Princess." A chuckle came as I was pulled into a chest.
My whole body stilled as warmth wrapped around me. I know that voice. I looked up and gasped.
"Dad?"
"Hello, Mer Mer." He smiled.
I cried while throwing my arms around him. I could feel him, smell him, and I missed him terribly. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.
"Where are we?"
"Heaven." He smiled sadly.
"What?"
"You don't remember how you died?" He asked.
I shook my head and looked around. If this was Heaven, then...
"My Brother. Where is he?"
"I'm not sure." He smiled knowing who I referred to
"Have you seen him?"
"No." He shook his head.
"Can I look for him?"
He went quiet and smiled sadly to me. What is wrong with him?
"Someone else needs to see you, Princess." He stated.
"Who?"
"The Sun God." He answered.
"How comes?"
"I'm not sure, Princess. I think it's because you don't belong here." He answered wrapped his hand in mine and pulling me behind him.
I frowned at his words while looking around.
"Of course I do. It's beautiful here. Plus, I died, Dad. There's no coming back from that."
"You would be surprised." He smiled.
He began leading me down a path that appeared making me look at it wide eyed. He laughed lightly at my face.
"I have truly missed you, Mer." He smiled.
"I missed you more."
"You look different." He raised a brow.
"I thought so too. How did you recognize me?"
"I know my own Daughter when I smell her." He answered.
My heart warmed at his answer and I laid my head on his arm.
"How is your Mother?" He asked.
"She is as good as could be expected. Although, I'm sure she is torn into pieces by now."
"Hopefully not for long." He breathed out.
"What do you mean?"
"You don't belong here, Princess." He sighed.
"But you're here. Billy and my Friends are here somewhere. I don't need to go back. Just look at this place."
I motioned around us a the peaceful bright scenery, but he just shook his head.
"It's not your time." He stressed out again.
He keeps saying that. What does he mean? I'm literally standing right next to him in actual Heaven on my way to talk to the Sun God himself. As we walked we talked about how life has been for me, but one thing bothered me.
