Mercy
🦋
5 months later...
Pacing back and fourth biting my nails, I waited until Bash got out of the shower. When the water shut off, he came out shortly after with a towel wrapped around his waist. My eyes darkened from the sight of him and all his glory before shaking the dirty thoughts from my head. Now is definitely not the time for this.
"Not this again." He sighed shaking his own head already knowing what I was going to say.
"Babe, please? Hear me out?"
"No, Mer. We've been over this three times already within the past two weeks. Drop it." He scolded making me groan as he walked into the closet.
"You won't even listen to me!"
"Because you sound ridiculous and paranoid." He stated with a raised eyebrow as he turned to look at me from my spot on the bed.
"Maybe I am paranoid and yes I will agree, it does sound ridiculous, but wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry?"He shook his head again as he got dressed silently. I had hoped he would just listen to me for once without shutting me down before I could even get to my reasonings. It seems like fourth time was a bust as well so far. Ugh!!! I placed my head into my hands taking a breather.
"Fine." He snapped sitting on the bed making me sigh happily.
"Okay, first of all he takes long walks towards the border at the same exact spot that the Rouge's planned to attack."I gave him a questioning look as he looked at me like I was speaking gibberish or another language.
"Do you know how many places there are to walk on our territories? Everyone walks somewhere." He pointed out.
"Around three in the morning?"His brow raised in interest before his face went void of any emotion. I'm losing him already? For a second there I just know he was interested as much as I was.
"He has been slacking on seeing his patients. I'm there every day and surprise surprise, every day my Mom tells me how many he rescheduled."
"Maybe he is just too busy." He defended him.I growled annoyed and walked out the room. This is pointless! I should have just went straight to the one of the other people that actually listens to me.
"Baby girl, come back. I'm listening." He groaned.
"No! You're just coming up with any and every excuse. I waited all damn day for you to get home to talk about this again and of course you do this shit. I will get proof myself if I have to."I opened the front door and slammed it behind me jogging down the steps. I looked up at the sunset smiling at the relaxation that washed over me from the beauty in the colors. It truly is an amazing world we live it. I look back at the three houses before walking to the very first one. James and Hope's humble abode.
I took in a deep breath as I walked up their stairs, then knocked on the door lightly. I waited hearing movement coming towards the door before James opened it surprised to see me.
"Hear me out."
"Mercy." He sighed throwing his hands up already knowing what I was going to say.Of course Bash told him before I could bring it up to him. All I wanted was my Mate's support, but I keep forgetting I'm only a woman. I don't know anything I guess. Again, he proves to be an asshole. I'll just hit James with my power move. It always works on him. Calling him by his title to show how serious I am. These guys spoil Hope, Janet and I all together so why when it comes to things like this they don't want to listen?
"Please, Alpha? It's bad enough Bash wouldn't listen to me. Please? If I'm wrong about this I will apologize profusely, but what if I am right?"
I practically begged as he looked at me contemplating before motioning me to come inside. Yes! I knew it would work! I followed him to the kitchen where Hope was cooking and wrapped my arms around her shoulders.
