Letting out a controlled breath I raise my bow and arrow. Finger placed on the arrow, one eye squeezed shut, elbow up, stomach in as I aimed for a weekly carved target.

I stayed at Aonungs Mauri last night as Tsireya, Ronal and Tonowari came home right after he apologised. They entered so quickly I didn't even get to say anything.

That doesn't matter anymore right now because I'm deep in the forest practicing my archery, spear throwing and combat and overall just distracting myself.

Lining the top of the arrow with my finger, I pulled back more strongly, tightening my core, fixing my posture and releasing it.

Bullseye!

"Nice one," I hear someone complement.

I didn't recognise the voice so I turned around quickly, being met with the oldest sully which immediately calmed me.

"Thank you," I smile, going to get the arrow. "Neteyam right?"

"Yea, Ka'nu?" He nods before pointing at me.

"The one and only," I giggle, grabbing the arrow from the tree.

"I didn't know the Metkayina did archery," Neteyam looks over the bow rested on my shoulder.

"Not everyone knows but my Nan always wanted Roxto and I to learn," I reply, beginning to walk towards my other weapons.

"Roxtos your brother?" He raised his brows in shocked.

"Yes, is that so hard to believe? We're actually twins," I smirk, picking up my spear.

"I could not tell," Neteyam reply's, crossing his arms over his chest whilst nodding.

"Most people don't, I think it's just because of our sex," I explain, turning around to walk away. "And the fact that he's ugly."

"Yeah that's true," he agrees walking next to me. "The gender part."

I laugh at his sudden realisation of what agreeing with me meant.

Aonungs POV

When I woke up this morning Ka'nu wasn't there. She stayed the night but I feel like she was hesitant. What if I took it too far yesterday? I don't want to make her uncomfortable.

Fucking hell Aonung

I apologised but she didn't say anything back, she just stayed quiet the whole time. She looked so nervous and I felt bad. I ruined it.

"Aonung!" My friend Koro yells in my ear.

I never really liked Koro, he just looks like a rip off Roxto and I already see Roxtos face enough. Roxto hates my other friends and I get why, he's the only friend I actually like.

"Ow dude, what the fuck?" I groan, holding my ear.

"Well you were zoning off, I had to get your attention some how," he shrugs stupidly.

"Yea dude you've been out of it all day," my other friend with long hair; Touro furrows his brows.

"What are you thinking about?" Luiko asks smirking.

Luiko has short blond hair like as if it had been dyed, he says it's natural but no one believes him. Literally no one.

"None of your fucking business," I scoff, resting my arms back on my knees.
