Nervous | Aonung

Who knew dancing was so fucking hard? there's no way I'm going to be able to do this with Aonung. The dance is mostly separate, like two dances with similar movements but in the end we come together.

"No, you must move your arms like this!" Ronal scolds, demonstrating the movement again.

"Sorry," I apologise correcting the movement. "So do I just walk into the area, or?"

"Tonowaris mother Hufto will call the horn when we're ready. You'll walk in with Aonung hand in hand and Tonowari and I will walk hand in hand," Ronal explains. "Once we get to our positions the music will start and we shall dance."

"Oh yay!" Tsireya giggles.

"Does Tsireya ever dance?" I ask, pointing at her in hopes to extend the break of not dancing.

"When she picks a mate she will dance with us," Ronal nods her head.

"I'm going to find a mate," Tsireya smiles, pointing at herself and I laugh.

"Are you ready?" Hufto asks, knocking on the door frame.

We had finished getting ready and were just perfecting the dance. It was eclipse, the best time of day.

"Yes, let's go," Ronal stands up, grabbing the crown.

Turning to her I bend down, giving her easy access to put it on my head. Placing the crown on my head she smiles at me and so reluctantly smile back.

My smile wavers at realisation for what's about to happen. There's no going back after this. But do I want it to go back? I don't hate Aonung, i maybe even kind of like him.

"Let's go," Tsireya whines, walking out of the Mauri.

"Ok, ok," I giggle catching up to her.

Third Person POV

As Ronal, Hufto, Tsireya and Ka'nu approached the area they meet before they walk out, they spots Tonowari and Aonung.

"There here," Tsireya smiles giddily, skipping over to them.

Aonung raises his head instantly at the sound of his sisters voice, trying to find Ka'nu. She was walking behind Ronal, not on purpose as she admired the villages beauty.

"Hello dear," Tonowari smiles at Ronal, rubbing her stomach.

"Hello," she smiles back wiping her forehead from the sweat she gathered on the walk.

As Ka'nu finally steps out from behind Ronal she looks up, making eye contact with Aonung.

Holy shit

Wow

Ka'nu and Aonung think at the same time.

Aonung makes the first move, smiling at Ka'nu. She smiles back waving slightly before receiving the attention of Tonowari.

"How are you?" He asks, patting her shoulder.

"Good," she smiles at him.

Tonowari nods at Ka'nu taking his hand off her shoulder and going to stand next to Ronal happily.

"I'll go call the horn," Hofto smiles. "Ka'nu, Aonung don't be shy, stand next to each other."

Ka'nu just giggles, going to stand next to Aonung. He smiles at her before looking at the floor with a slight blush on his face, Ka'nu smirking at that.

In front of them, Tonowari outstretches his forearm for Ronal so she can rest her arm in his. Seeing this, Ka'nu grabs Aonungs arm doing the same.
