Ka'nus POV

"Eywa I spilled a lot," Neteyam curses, helping me wipe it up.

"It's ok Neteyam, you didn't mean it," I chuckle at his apologetic state.

"I know but I'm still so sorry," he apologises again.

"It's ok," I giggle as I lean back to clean my stomach.

"Is Aonung going to get all mad at me because I'm touching you?" Neteyam asks seriously.

"No, why?" I say softly, keeping in mind to get mad at Aonung for being so obvious with hsi jealousy.

"Because every time I touch you he stares me down like he has killing intentions," Neteyam mumbles making me burst out laughing.

"You'll be fine Neteyam," I rest a hand on his shoulder, reassuring him.

"Ok, I trust you," Neteyam smiles taking the cloth of me. "All done."

"Thank you," I say whilst still cleaning up the rest on my stomach.

"Oh let me help," Neteyam offers, leaning forward.

"It's fine-."

"It was my fault and I feel bad so I'm helping," Neteyam says kindly.

"Damn, okay," I raise my hands in surrender as I lean back on them, letting him clean my stomach.

This would be seen as intimate but Neteyam and I are friends. He knows I'm with Aonung and I know he doesn't have a crush on me, and, we're just friends.

Speaking of him I look over at Aonung to see him death staring Neteyam making me remember how jealous he gets.

It would infuriate me more if he didn't look so fucking good when he's mad. His nostrils flare and his ears stick out. The many muscles covering his body tense and his tail will sway slightly against the ground.

Deciding to play a trick on him I lean forward, whispering in Neteyams ear. "Whisper, whisper."

"What?" Neteyam whispers, confused with a smile on his face.

I roll my eyes as, pretending he didn't hear what I just said and so if need to whisper in his ear again. But that's what I wanted.

"Oh no, there's still some on my thigh."

"I got it," he smiles, shifting the clothed to my inner thigh again.

From the corner of my eye I could see Aonung tense up as he was about to stand up, resulting in Roxto slapping him.

I lean forward whispering very quietly in Neteyams ear again. "How's your day going?"

"What?" He whispers back, stopping his hand movements on my thigh.

"How's your day going?" I say even quieter in his ear.

"Ka'nu I can't hear you," Neteyam chuckles.

Rolling my eyes I smile back at him before leaning in to whisper something into his ear again.

"Aren't Tsireya and Lo'ak so cute," I say so he can hear this time.

"Definitely," he nods his head smiling.

Suddenly the fire began thumped, growing quickly up to the sky as the heat intensified. Everyone stood up, stepping back immediately.

"I'll go get some water," Neteyam explains, running towards the water, Lo'ak and Roxto close behind.

"Do you know what happened?" Tsireya asks, walking towards Kiri and I.

Kiri and Tsireya kept talking as I watched the fire trying to see what could've made it bigger. As if I could see it, the fire would've melted it.
