Did I just say yes? I just blurted it out as if it was nothing, when it's everything! I'm not lying though, I do want to have children with him.

Say something Ka'nu

I avoid eye contact with him and draw my eyes to the floor, refusing to look at him. Why am I so afraid?

"Ka'nu," Aonung chuckles.

Shit

I squeeze my eyes shut. I felt scared for some reason, not scared of Aonung but scared of the future if I admit to wanting kids.

"Ka'nu," he chuckles again as he wraps his hands around my waist, pulling me flush against him.

"Shh," I shush him, resting my head on his chest.

Aonung giggles as he rests a hand on my head, holding me closer to him.

I open my eyes now, looking around the room to avoid eye contact. My eyes spot something on the floor. It wasn't there before.

It looks like a shell, a long blue shell that would be attached to a Navi's top.

"Ka'n-."

"What's that?" I interrupt Aonung.

He looks over to where I was looking and spots the shell. I pull myself out of his grip, walking over to it. Bending down, I pick up the shell to inspect it further.

It's blue with splashes of green in it. Long and thin with a knot attached to the top which is used to add to a clothing piece. It's looks familiar but I can't quite place it.

"What is it?" Aonung asks from behind me.

"I don't know," I shrug, standing up. "It looks like it's from a piece of clothing."

"Let me see?" Aonung asks, putting his hand out.

I place the shell in his hand as he pulls it up to his eyes to get a better look.

"Looks like a leaf, but it's hard," he says, tapping the shell. "Is it from one of your clothing pieces?"

"No, I'd remember and it wasn't here before," I take the shell out of his hands again.

"Let's not worry about it?" Aonung smiles, wanting to continue the conversation of kids.

"But-."

"It's fine, it's just a shell," he grabs it from my hands, placing it on top of a chest.

"I just- I don't know, I've been feeling weird lately," I shudder.

He holds my face in his hands as he pushes it up so I'll look at him. Aonung smiles brightly at me before kissing my forehead and resting his against mine.

I hold his hands that are caressing my face as I sigh in content from the small gesture.

"Everything's fine," he kisses my forehead again. "I promise darling."

"Darling?" I chuckle.

"You heard me," Aonung smirks, kissing my lips this time.

He moves his hands down to my waist as he pulls me against him. I wrap my arms around his neck as I continue the kiss.

"You can't get enough, can't you?" I tease, pulling away from the kiss.

"Last time I checked, you kissed me back," he smirks, knowing he's right.

"Oh shut up," I smile, kissing him again.
