After I finally calmed down Roxto and got him to leave Aonung alone I went to grab some thing to eat or drink. I hadn't had anything all day.
Walking over to the food table I admire all the hard work the Metkayina must have put into it. Platters of food lay before me, decorated beautifully.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Yuki stands beside me.
"Yuki!" I smile, hugging her instantly.
I never had a older sister, or a sister at all but when I was twelve Yuki took me in. She taught me everything I know. Nan was always busy with Roxto so it was nice to have her there.
"Hey," she smiles, hugging me back.
"I haven't seen you for a while," I step back, grabbing some juice as we continued to talk.
We talked about the Mashkulls and how we both agree they don't deserve such a horrible training place. We also both agree that Quojo won't change her mind.
"Why didn't you tell me you're mated to Aonung?" Yuki asks, slightly offended.
"Because I only found out a week ago," I shrug my shoulders, eating a grape.
"What?" Yuki furrowed her brows.
"It's an arranged mate, last thing my mother requested," I explain.
"We're talking about this more but I have to go," she apologies, bidding her goodbye.
I nod kindly, turning back to the food as I eat in silence. The music and talk was incredibly loud but for some reason I felt quiet.
"Ka'nu."
Nan
"Yes?" I say, keeping my back to her and my walls up.
"How are you?" She asks, standing next yo me.
"Fine, engaged," I reply, hoping she'll leave.
"I'm staying with a friend tonight if you'd like to go home," Nan asks hopefully.
"I'll do as I please," I brush her off.
"My daughter would've loved to see this," Nan tried to cheer up the mood.
"Would, she would love to see this," I correct her, looking Nan in the eyes.
"Ka'nu," she says sympathetically.
"Don't," I raise my hand, stopping her as I turn to walk away.
"Where are you going to sleep?" She asks, thinking she got to me.
"My mates Mauri," I smile at her; walking off to find anyone but her.

Aonungs POV
I should've told Roxto earlier, that I couldn't get out of the arranged mate, then he wouldn't be mad at Ka'nu. Now there in a fight again and it's all my fault.
I'm sitting with other hunters as I sip my Julo juice. It's late now, only the adults and teenagers over sixteen are left.
"You good?" Tenutu asks, patting my shoulder.
"What? Yea," I shrug him off before staring at the fire again.
"How did we not know you and Ka'nu are a thing?" Tenutu chuckles, looking at my other friends.
They all laugh, agreeing with him.
"Bro, how did you pull that?" Louro laughs, nodding towards Ka'nu.
