Ka'nus POV

I was walking through the village as I had decided it would be best if I talk to Nan. I didn't want to be the first one to speak but Nans too stubborn.

Why does she have to be so stubborn? Even when Roxto and I were kids she wouldn't for one second let things go our way. It always has to be her way.

Fucking bi-

"Ka'nu," Neteyam yells, clearly frustrated.

Turning around immediately I see he wasn't frustrated with me and instead frustrated with, Aonung who he was holding by his queue.

"What is it?" I ask Neteyam, eyeing Aonung.

"He left Lo'ak outside the reef!" Neteyam pushes Aonung.

Eywa watch over Lo'ak

"What?" I say barely above a whisper as I stare at Aonung.

My eyes didn't even have the energy to widen. After that talk we had, after confessing his 'love' for me, after everything he promised he does this? It hasn't even been a day!

"Ka'nu I-."

Normally, I would react. I would yell at the man before me for his utter stupidity. But now, I just look at him; complete and utter disappointment evident in my cold eye a

"I-."

I hope Lo'aks ok

"Ka'nu I'm so sorry, please say somethi-."

"Shut up," I say quiet but firm, enough for him to realise how upset I am. "Where's your father, Neteyam?"

"Our Mauri," Neteyam explains.

"Let's go," I demand, grabbing Aonungs braid and pushing him to Neteyams Mauri.

"Ka'nu," Aonung tries to turn around.

"Don't," I warm, making him face forward again.

"Why'd you do it Aonung?" Neteyam asks, walking next to me.

"I don't know," Aonung whispers.

"He could be seriously injured and your answer is 'I don't know'?" I mock him before turning to Neteyam. "Could be."

Neteyam nods at me mouthing the words 'thank you' and I couldn't help but smile at him sympathetically.

I don't know what I would do if anything happened to Roxto. I know what I'd do to the person who hurt him though. I don't know how Neteyam is so calm right now.

Lo'ak could be seriously hurt, or dead... I believe he's alive, he has a strong heart and good survival instincts.

"Ka'nu!" Tuk smiles, seeing us walk into their Mauri.

"Not now Tuk," Neteyam says calmly.

"I'm sorry give me a minute," I smile at her.

"What's going on?" Neytiri asks and I nod towards Aonung.

We exit their Mauri walking on to the dock where we see Jake and Kiri dangling their feet in the water.

"Tell him what you told us!" Neteyam demands as I let go of Aonungs braid.

Neteyam looked so scared, he was consumed with fear that something bad has happened to his brother. I've never been one to comfort people so I just hold his hand as I send a reassuring smile his way.

"He's ok!" Jake calls out, sending relief through my body. "Just a few scratches."
