"But your the build of a Metkayina though, aren't they Omaticaya or forest Navi?" I ask, confused and positive he's lying.

The yelled had settled now as Roxto and I took turn asking questions about everything we wanted to know. And he answered.

"They knew about ocean Navi and wanted someone to do it, I volunteered," Sxculan shrugs.

"Wouldn't it have been so hard though, like our bodies aren't built for what there's are," Roxto furrows his eyebrows.

"It was really hard, but this way the scientists got to know more about other Navi," Sxculan smiles at us.

"Why do sky people hate you so much?" I ask him.

"I was one of them, but I betrayed them and joined a friend of mine named Jake sully in defeating them in battle. My human name is Scott," Sxculan answers my question.

Every time he talked Roxto and I would look at each other, checking that we were both fine with him still talking.

"Do either or you speak English?" He asks.

"No," Roxto shrugs.

"Some?" I had learned how to speak some of the English language from the Sullys, wanting to converse better with them.

"That's so cool, how'd you learn?" Sxculan talks way too fast.

"I, meet sully, sully teach," I pause between each word.

"Very good!" He smiles, patting my shoulder.

"Why'd you come back?" I ask suddenly, interrupting the calmer mood.

"I thought it would be safe now, I thoug-."

"Wait, if you were in the battle then you know the sky people lost, why didn't you think it was safe?" I realise.

"Oh, I-," he pauses.

"Spit it out," Roxto encourages him.

"Ok fine," he pauses again.

"Spit out!" I yell, thinking he can only understand English for some reason.

"Talo wanted me gone, she said I can't be raising you two with my human ways. She kicked me out, made me believe I would only endanger both of you," Sxculan admits.

He's an open book

Every time we've asked him a question he's answered, truthfully? Talo is quite the opposite and I don't know about my mum but it's nice to have someone tell you the truth.

"We never knew," Roxto whispers. "She told us you and mum went missing the day we were born."

"Hate Talo!" I swear, punching the wall next to me.

"So you don't know about your mum?" He asks Roxto.

"Oh no, Ka'nu told me before," Roxto smiles awkwardly, nodding.

"I'm so sorry I left you two, I generally thought I'd just be putting you two in harms way," He apologises.

Roxto and I look at each other. His eyes were filled with excitement, he's finally going to have a dad. But my eyes were filled with fear, what if he's lying?

"It's not ok," I shake my head.

"I know, but if you'll let me be a part of your lives, I'd love to," He smiles, hope in his eyes.

"Yes!" Roxto smiles brightly.

"Wait, I- I do want you in our lives but it can't be rushed," I demand, setting up my firm walls.
