I said my good bye to Eska as I walked towards the village. Why did my dad want to get rid of me so quickly? Why did he keep asking if I had questions for him?

What the fuck

I looked to my left and saw almost the entire village standing in a massive group as they cheered loudly. What are they doing? I see Kiri walking towards them so I run to catch up with her.

"Hey Kiri," I smile, walking next to her.

"Oh hey Ka'nu," she smiles as well.

"Do you know what's happening?" I ask; referring to the group of Navis.

"No idea," Kiri shrugs.

"Let's go find out?" I suggest as we walk to the Navis.

We squeeze our way to the front of the gathering to find Tonowari standing in the middle, hyping everyone up.

What the actual fuck

"Ka'nu," He smiles when noticing me.

"Hey Tonowari, what's happening?" I ask politely, pointing at the cheering Navi.

"Whilst Ronal is busy planning your celebration I finally get to host some friendly competitions," he smirks.

What?

"Huh?" Kiri says.

"Whalecome to game fun," Tonowari says in English as he gestures his hands out.

He knows English?

"I asked Jake to teach me how to say some things in English so that I can help you with learning," Tonowari smiles.

Oh

"Thank you," I smile brightly.

My swelled as he just smiled warmly at me. He was so proud of himself. I'm not even his daughter and he learnt some English for me?

"My pleasur-."

"What we're you trying to say?" Kiri interrupts.

"Welcome to fun games," Tonowari smiles.

"You know, you should say that to all Navi, be inclusive," Kiri suggests, smirking.

Why is she smirking?

"Great idea," Tonowari walks away from us.

He stand on a tall rock as all the chatty Navi turn to him in silence. He outstretches his hands as he turns slowly to look at everyone.

"Whalecome to game fun!" He cheers but all the Navi stay quiet. "That means Welcome to the games!"

All the Navi cheer loudly as they prepare for the 'games'. Everyone is so happy as they jump up and down and squeal in excitement.

I notice all the Sullys, especially Jake and Lo'ak laughing extra hard when Tonowari said 'whalecome'. Did he not say it right?

Kiri was also laughing as she tried to cover it up with a hand over her mouth. I turn to her as I furrow my eyebrows.

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"He said welcome completely wrong," Kiri chuckles.

"First we shall have Ilu races and then Skimwing races, anyone can enter in any event, you just need that animal," Tonowari explains to all the Navi.
