MV Bulolo, a former armed merchant cruiser now cruise ship, is on her last voyage in 1968 to Taiwan for her fate with the shipbreakers. However, fate itself has other plans for the formerly great Australian ship as she is sunk in a storm prior to he...
Four years had passed since the factions had once more formed a united front against the Sirens and now, their enemy was almost wiped out. With tactical command and strategic planning organised by Bulolo, the girls were sailing towards reclaiming the seas for humanity. However, something occurred that would shake things up.
That day, a fleet formed of eight vessels were patrolling outside of Azur Lane base. Acting as its flagship was the troopship Aquitania, who was doing it in Bulolo's place as the HMS Bulolo was undergoing a minor refit and reskin of the hull like her ship years ago. Acting as escorts were the cruisers Takao, Mogami, Nurnberg, Juneau and the destroyers Shigure, Arashiro, Mullany and Fortune.
Shigure: I'm tired. We haven't seen anything so why do we need to keep patrolling?
Mullany: You still moaning, Shigure? I never knew one of the Sakura Empire's greats was like this.
Shigure: I'm not!
Nurnberg: (exhales) I feel a little disappointed we haven't run into anything.
Aquitania: We must be on our guard. The Sirens maybe weakened but they aren't out.
Takao: The sooner we run into something, the quicker we could finish our patrol.
Juneau: I hope it's better, like to give those five brothers whose faces I can see clearly and give them a chance to rest.
Aquitania: You can still see the Sullivan brothers?
Juneau: (nods her head)
Shigure: I'm so bored.
It was then that Fortune felt something off.
Fortune: Why do I feel the sea shaking?
Everyone soon felt the ocean beginning to rumble. Everyone hit the deck as they materialised their ships for cover and after five minutes, the shaking stopped and they got up.
Arashiro: Nani?
A large gate-like structure stood before them and stood out of the water. It appeared ancient in design but what was something like this doing out in the Pacific? It just didn't make sense. Just then, some mysterious whale-like creatures emerged from it. They appeared sinister.

Fortune: What are those things?!
Mogami: Those aren't Sirens. If they get near the base, who knows what they can do.
Takao: Whatever. We need to stop them.
Aquitania: You are clear to engage. OPEN FIRE!
A broadside erupted from the Aquitania's new 6inch guns. Sadly, the lack of a fire control radar made their aim being off, the shells falling short.
Takao: UTSU! (releases a broadside, some of the shells hitting their mark)
The destroyers and other cruisers opened fire while Aquitania got on the radio.
