A New Faction is Formed. The Might of Australia

Talks were beginning held at the Azur Lane headquarters regarding what to do with the shipgirls who hailed from the Royal Australian Navy following the arrival of the submarine HMAS AE2.

QE: As much as I would take them under my wing, they don't have the elegance of the Royal Navy.

Cleveland: But they are ships who's designs that have Royal Navy origins.

Warspite: The exception is the rather perverted Darwin. She claims to be of Eagle Union design.

Baragoola: The Adelaides are Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates from the USA, with the last two of the six built locally in Australia.

Bulolo: I agree with Her Majesty on this.

Hornet: Given that there are four shipgirls here with the prefix 'HMAS', there's enough to form a whole new faction, maybe a separate branch of Royal Navy.

Karrabee: Six, technically. I asked if Shropshire and Vampire could join as they're counterparts in our world were transferred to the RAN, with Vampire's descendant still around. If a new faction is formed for the Australian ships, they would join.

Baragoola: Yep. Vampire II is now a museum ship at Darling Harbour.

QE: If that's their decision to change their prefix from HMS to HMAS, I'm ok with it. You did say they were RAN ships in your world.

Karrabee: Yep. Vampire, along with Vendetta, Stuart, Waterhen and Voyager were transferred to the RAN in 1933. In World War Two, they became quite infamous for proving their enemies wrong. They're official name is the "Australian Destroyer Flotilla" but because of some German saying they were assembled in a scrapyard, we took it as a compliment and changed it to the "Scrap Iron Flotilla".

PoW: Then what should we do?

Enterprise: I suggest my sister's idea, a new faction.

QE: I'll approve of a branch of Royal Navy for our Australian warriors. They're certainly a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, especially as we saw with Adelaide and Melbourne against the Sirens and Sakura Empire, along with Darwin and AE2 taking on those submarines.

Baragoola: Well, that would be the best decision. They'll still be tied to the crown and fit with their prefix but what about naming it?

They all went quiet in thinking of a name. They had to think long and hard for a more fitting name. Eventually, Warspite found a suitable name.

Warspite: Royal Navy-Australia Force, branch of Royal Navy.

Enterprise: That makes sense. All in favor?

Everyone raised their hand, even Bulolo, with no one opposing the name. Now, there was another matter for the new faction to deal with, that being a new flag. It was then Adelaide came in with Darwin, Melbourne, Vampire, Shropshire and AE2. They had heard everything.

Adelaide: So, we're now a new faction?

QE: Technically a branch of Royal Navy which is self governing with its own leader. The issue right now is the flag, given that while I said it's a branch of Royal Navy, it's still a separate faction and as a result, needs a flag to represent itself.

Melbourne: I can have that sorted. (pulls out a large flag that looked like the blue one Adelaide flew but was white with blue seven-point stars) Our naval white ensign. That would be our flag.

 That would be our flag
