A week had passed following the rescue by the "Operation: Gallipoli" fleet when the news came that a large fleet had left the Sakura Empire, thanks to intel given by an unknown source. Every ship was sent to sail at once to tally forth and engage this massive fleet. Azur Lane assembled the largest fleet they had ever assembled. Due to issues, Kormoran, Aquitania, Akashi and Curlew had to stay behind. On the flight deck of her ship, Enterprise looked over everything.
Enterprise: One battle ends, and another begins.
QE: It's about time they showed up. This is the fleet I'd been expecting.
PoW: It's not just our own, Your Majesty. It appears that the fleet has combined with Eagle Union's. Fantastic.
Hood: This is indeed an astounding view, and certainly quite promising.
Warspite: This fight for sure will be decisive.
Bulolo: I highly doubt that.
Melbourne: One factor might change things. My planes have missiles and I have helicopters, something the Crimson Axis doesn't.
Adelaide: This would be Jutland and Midway rolled into one.
Warspite: You know of the Battle of Jutland?
Adelaide: I wasn't finished in time. Wartime material shortages meant I wasn't completed until after World War One in my original world.
Hood: Your commission year?
Adelaide: 1922.
Sheffield: That's young for the old Towns.
Jervis Bay: We'll be going into hell. I'm not sure how we're going to handle this.
Jeremiah O'Brien: Who fucking cares? Let's kick some Sakura steel to the Moon!
Bulolo: I feel they're planning something dark and I fear know what it is.
Jeremiah O'Brien: Might play some music while I battle.
Melbourne: Ride of the Valkyries?
Jeremiah O'Brien: Fuck no. You'll find out but not that Vietnam bullshit.
(A/N: Anyone know what this was a reference to?)
In the far distance and charging at them, what could only be said to be the entire Sakura Empire, minus the Nagato-class, was heading for battle against Azur Lane. Aboard the Fusou, Takao wondered to herself, knowing something was off.
Atago: What's the matter? You seem upset?
Takao: Do you honestly feel prepared for this? We haven't even complete Orochi and we're heading into a major battle. What could Akagi possibly be thinking?
(A/N: They're still unaware of the truth of the Orochi.)
Atago: Maybe the fact we couldn't get the black Wisdom Cube back is getting to her. That seems understandable to me.
