A Hard Goodbye

Following their escape from the ice field and what the fuck was wrong with Enterprise, the fleet was now with an added vessel and two prisoners. These were the destroyer Ayanami, who was unconscious, and the submarine U-110, who was wounded following her capture by Darwin. The two were on board the HMS Bulldog as the Royal Navy destroyer assisted the Iron Blood submarine. She wasn't able to walk due to her injuries by the more modern guided-missile frigate.

U-110: If you think you can torture me? I'll never speak.

Bulldog: Who said that? Akagi? We don't that. It's against both the rules of war and humanly wrong.

U-110: (stays silent)

Bulldog: You and me are similar, not very talkative.

Aboard the HMS Bulolo

Darwin: I then caught fire and that sealed my fate. I was dismantled at Henderson and now I'm here for some reason.

Amazon: And you say you're a frigate, am I right?

Darwin: I'm an FFG, a guided-missile frigate. I'm basically an Oliver Hazard Perry of the United States Navy, just a version of it known as the "Adelaide-class".

Adelaide: I can't believe they reused my name on a Yankee-made ship.

Jervis Bay: Can be when you meet your successor, which is stronger than you ever were.

Jeremiah O'Brien: I remember hearing about that.

Prince of Wales: So we have sunk in battle, two sunk in a storm, exploded while scrapping, scuttled, and four broken up for scrap. Those are some sad fates yous have, especially since we just saw Atlanta just detonate and her ship take her with it.

Fletcher: The explosion fractured the keel. There was no hope for it.

Adelaide: It broke her back. I wonder if Bulldog is having some luck with that Iron Blood girl?

They all looked too Adelaide with confusion. They knew that the Iron Blood's submarines were renowned for keeping their secrets despite looking like they'll tell them, even if intimidated.

Adelaide: What? Was only saying.

Amazon: It's harder than you think. Them U-boats are hard to get anything out of.

Darwin: More like because yous keep playing "sink the submarine" than capture it. How many have you captured instead of sunk by depth charge?

Amazon just stuttered, realising that the Australian frigate was right with the latter showing a "thought so" look on her face. This prompted the blonde-haired prototype destroyer to blush with embarrassment. With the destroyer unable to speak, Melbourne broke the silence.

Melbourne: I find it fitting that we have Bulldog towing the U-110. In our world, HMS Bulldog captured U-110 off Norway, becoming the first ship to capture a working enigma machine, complete with codebooks. Sadly, choppy seas resulted in U-110 sinking.
