Putting the Past in the Past

A year had steadily flew by and now it was late December. The festive spirit of the Christmas lingered on with the base still in decorations that won't come down until next month as to prevent bad luck. Darwin, Baragoola and Karabee were preparing for something large to end the year off, with the help of Reliant. The Robin Moor and Jeremiah O'Brien had gone out to the Eagle Union mainland to collect supplies everyone else was getting ready for the new year.

Bulolo: Baragoola.

Baragoola: Madam Bulolo. We're just getting the fireworks set up for tonight.

Karrabee: Just a few more to get in place. Darwin also allowed her ship to be a launch platform for a few.

Bulolo: That's good to hear. I understand that this display will be a big one?

Karrabee: Very big. Being from Sydney, we know what we're doing.

Baragoola: Long after your sinking, Sydney became world famous for its New Years Eve fireworks, always setting the benchmark. I bet this will be the talk of Azur Lane.

Bulolo: With the technology you, Darwin and Karrabee perfected, the alliance hasn't been as close as it has ever been. Yous have basically brought it all together.

Baragoola: Haven't started on social media and mobile phones yet. (mumbles) And maybe a good thing.

(A/N: For my American readers, a "mobile phone" is basically what yous would call a "cell phone". Whiles yous coined the name because of cellular reception, we coined the name "mobile" due to you now have a phone with greater mobility, making it just as mobile as its user.)

Bulolo: I'll be looking forward to the broadcast across the alliance, along with everyone celebrating after us.

(A/N: Also, I never mentioned this but I've moved Hawaii a little further to the other side of the International Date Line. As we have no official map of the Azur Lane universe, I could saw the geography of Azur Lane is different to ours.)

Baragoola: Oh, this will be the big event.

Bulolo: See yous tonight. (walks off)

Karrabee: You too, Bulolo. Wonder what will happen to Hammann tonight?

Baragoola didn't know.

Since the Sims-class had become the Eagle Union's correspondent to Azur Lane's news network, she had been copping the receiving end of practical jokes from her colleges but what they didn't know was she didn't mind. As long as they got a laugh, she was fine with it.

Reliant: Oh. All the reporters are here for the event.

Baragoola: You can leave the rest to me. Not got much to do.

Karrabee: Thanks, Baragoola. (heads off to the pier)

Timeskip 6:00PM

At 6 in the evening, the broadcast went online.

Karrabee: Hello, everyone and welcome to this new years edition of the Azur News. For the first time ever, everyone's all here!

All: (cheers)

Karrabee: Instead of letting me doing all the talking, I'll let yous introduce yourselves.

Black Prince: Hello, everyone. I'm Black Prince, Dido-class light cruiser and correspondent for Royal Navy.
