(Capping off from last chapter)
Edinburgh: We're gonna die. I'm gonna die!
Darwin: You're not human! We're not going to sink here, or ever!
Purifier: (laughs) Seriously? You're not even going to try and make this fun for me? (soon notices the shape of SBD Dauntless dive bombers followed by 6inch shells, them scoring heavy damage) What?
Enterprise and Bulolo: SIREN!
Purifier: Oh, yay! It's Enterprise and Bulolo!
Both sides opened fire with Bulolo and Enterprise dodging Purifier's laser beams, while Purifier herself didn't dodge the glowing arrow from Enterprise and a few 6inch shells from Bulolo. The Siren blanketed by smoke.
Edinburgh: They did it!
Darwin: Alright!
However..... it wasn't over.
Purifier: (flies out of the smoke while laughing) Alright! That was fun! Too bad that's my que to leave, but I'll catch you later. See you ladies at the final stage! (fires a barrage of laser beams from her hammerhead shark-like rigging)
Darwin: Here's a parting gift for you! (fires a missile that follows Purifier through a portal before it closed) She'll be a lot more than bruised when she arrives where she needs to be.
Enterprise: The final stage.
Bulolo: One last major battle. This isn't just a final stage, Enterprise.
Enterprise: Huh? What you mean, Bulolo?
Bulolo: I mean it's a showdown, the absolute battle.
Darwin: What the Japanese from our world call the "Kantai Kessen", just like Midway.
Bulolo: We need to head back to base. I bet more intel can be revealed there and plan out a strategy. We'll send the submarines out to act as pickets so they can report things back to us.
The girls turned around and headed back to base to rearm and to assess the damage on everyone. To Bulolo, she knew a final showdown was in order and it had to be decisive on their terms. At the same time, the Orochi was now well clear of the waters of Sakura Empire with Kaga standing aboard it. Its size dwarfed every Siren ship surrounding it as escorts. On one of them, two high ranking Sirens, Observer and Tester, looked at their handywork.
Tester: We have outrun the Sakura Empire fleet. Of course, they were a little too confused to put up very much of fight. We're close now. (looks at the Orochi) I must say, this is quite a magnificent scheme.
(A/N: All they have to do now is not get spotted, or do anything to give them way but given the size of the Orochi, good luck with that.)
Observer: Well, of course. A battle like this one needs to be dramatic. It's only fair battles are manifestations of will. It's not just power that drives them and gives them strength.
Tester: You know it's difficult to understand you when you start to act poetic like that.
