We were leaving for the tour in a month.

It was our debute tour around the world, and I was freaking excited about it. We had already filmed a lot of content beforehand for the winter comeback we were having. I had started packing already and practices were intense as every eye was on us and how we would be performing in the first ever Midnight Blues concert.

My hands clutched the hankerchief in between my fingers as I opened my eyes to the blinding light of the morning. It was still with me. Jungwon's handkerchief. After contemplating for a minute, I put it in the things I was taking on the tour.

"Guys, we're leaving." The sound of Ae-Cha's manager boomed in the dorms, and I dragged myself out of the room.

"It's too early for the screaming session, Dan." I yawned. "It's only 5:30 am."

He gave me a look, and again called out to other members. Lavender appeared on her doorway, and peeked at him, tucking her hair back slowly. I narrowed my eyes. What was up with her? Even Dan seemed flustered.

"Dan, can I talk to you for a moment?" She asked in a shy manner.

My frown deepened. Was she trying to flirt with our leader's manager? Midnight Blues had a group manager who was on leave, so we were assigned to Dan for the time being. He was the most responsible out of all the individual managers we had. I had always thanked God for not having Dan as manager. No offence but the guy was uptight, and followed rules like hell.

"Yeah. Say." Dan put his hands into his jacket.

Lavender blinked. "Oh. It's something personal. I hope you don't mind, Chayoung. It's a personal matter, can you come into my room Dan?"

Okay. That was weird. She had never said things like that before. There were no secrets, and what could be so serious for her to ask Dan to be in her room? I nodded nonetheless. I would talk to her about it later. Dan, confused like me, went to the room and the door clicked shut.

Olive opened the door slowly, and that was when everything made sense. Her childhood sweetheart and future husband, no doubt there, tip toed out of her room, and gave me a salute before opening the exit door and left. Olive wiped the invisible sweat off her forehead and sat on the couch.

"When did Shinje come?" I whispered. "I didn't see him last night."

"He came an hour ago to give me a parting gift. With the last of the promotional events, I won't be able to see him." She pouted. "So, he came to meet me. We didn't know Dan would come this early."

"Did you at least confess your eternal love to him?" I glanced at her. Olive loved him since forever but was waiting for the right time. "Shinje won't be around forever, you know."

"I'm scared. I know I'm the one who is stopping us from getting together." She shook her head. "But, you remember what happened with Ae-Cha unnie, right? I don't want to risk anything. Shinje isn't an idol, and his privacy is all he has. I want to protect him."

I shook my head. "I don't know what to say. Wait. What's Lavender talking to Dan?"

Olive cringed. "Dan is always soft with her, I kinda asked her to distract him so that Shinje could escape."

The door opened and we both stood up. Dan came out first, he looked at us, lowered his eyes and walked out of the dorms. "Come downstairs girls."

Lavender came afterwards. "I've traumatized the poor guy." She chuckled, shaking her head. Olive laughed and gave her a thankful hug. Ae-Cha and Ruby came then, and we all headed to the music back for the comeback stage.

Any guesses who was our competition for the first place? Yes. Enhypen. They had a comeback recently too. We got ready for the stage, and I went out to spend a few minutes alone. It was my routine. I walked back and forth, and unconsciously wondered what Jungwon must be doing.

As if I menifested him, Jungwon came from the other side with his group members. I paused, and then realised that I had to be subtle. I bowed to everyone in respect and Sunoo Sunbae gave me a thumbs up. "We're going to give you a good competition, hoobae."

Sunoo and I had grown closer the time we spent together while rehearsing for the MC job. That was another thing that he couldn't join me, and Jungwon replaced him. "We'll do that too, Sunbae," I teased him. "You better treat me with mint chocolate ice cream big bowl if we win this."

"And, if Enhypen wins, you're doing that." He pointed out, grinning.

"You bet." I smiled. My eyes moved to Jungwon who had stopped behind Sunoo, probably waiting for his member. He glanced at me as if feeling my gaze. I stared back. "All the best, Sunbae."

He looked away and left with Sunoo. I sighed, and went back to the green room. We did our interview with Enhypen and the MCs of the Music bank. It was filled with a lot of laughter and jokes. I was standing beside Jungwon (it really felt like fate was playing with us).

The back of hand brushed against his, but it wasn't an issue. Our members were covering us. I waited for him to pull away, but his hand stayed there. Beside mine. For some reason, it made me happy. I couldn't face the camera and looked down, trying to bit back my smile.

We performed our single, and even though both of the groups gave each other a tough competition, Midnight Blues won the score. Enhypen cheered for us. Jungwon and I had hosted together, so people must've had expected some kind of interaction, but Jungwon acted professionally and hardly made an eye contact in front of the camera.

I was leaving for the tour, and it made me feel a little weird that I won't see him for a long time. It almost made me sad. Maybe because I had grown to see him around. Bickering with him. Whatever. I should be happy. Won't have to put up with his annoying self. Right. I was happy. I changed into my casual clothes and got out of the room, only to stop by the figure standing outside the room.

"Here." Jungwon extended his hand towards me, and my eyes widened at the big box of mint chocolate in his hands. "It's from Sunoo hyung. Not from me."

I looked up at him. "As if you would give me mint chocolate to make me happy." I took the box from him and grinned. "Where's Sunbae? I want to thank him."

"He had some work, so he had to leave first." Jungwon shifted his weight from one foot to another. "All the best for the tour. I'm sure you all will do okay."

"Thank you for saying that." I nodded and he turned away to leave when I held on to his jacket sleeve. "That guy... He was exposed. Was it you?"

The idol who had touched me improperly a couple of months ago was exposed as the school bully who even harrased his female classmates in his teenage years. It was no coincidence that the news was revealed just in small period of time after what had happened with me.

"It doesn't take a lot for the reporters to sniff around when given a little bit of help." Jungwon didn't even blink as he confessed without actually doing so. "I don't forgive his category."

I blinked. "I don't understand you."

He pushed his hands into his jeans pocket and took a deep breath. "I would do it for anyone else. Don't think too much."

"Still. Thanks, I guess."

Jungwon shrugged. He seemed to contemplate on his thoughts as if he wanted to say something, but stopped at the last moment. "Bye." I watched him walking away and rested my head back on the door.

I looked down at the mint chocolate box and smiled to myself. Oh. I was in trouble.
