'Chigiri, Kunigami, and Reo...They're strong! Their offense and defense is balanced at a super high level. A team with no weaknesses and yet...' Isagi thought as he wiped his chin.
'I'm shaking to test myself against them! This new me that has gotten stronger! This team's chemical reaction!'
"Let's go!" Isagi grinned.
"I'm always ready." Nagi nodded.
"Don't give me orders." Barou clicked his tongue.
Restart!
Isagi passed the ball over to Nagi who passed it back not much later. In the meantime, Barou ran ahead and Kunigami was quick to follow. When Nagi moved up, he kept an eye on Chigiri who did the same to him. The only ones free were Isagi and Reo, but the latter kept a distance just ahead of the former.
'Blind spots and off the ball. I'll combine these new pieces with my spatial recognition ability. This is my new field vision! Be aware of the line of sight...of teammates and enemies...' Isagi thought, his unblinking eyes staring ahead with intensity.
'More precisely than ever and delicately, I can see each individual play! The route to the goal that I couldn't see before! The possibilities are overflowing endlessly!'
"Barou!" Isagi called as he passed the ball to the boy who caught it with ease.
With that, Isagi had the chance to run ahead, his eyes shifting to Reo and noticing how the purple-haired boy followed his figure with his purple eyes.
'Come on! Look over here, Reo! The movement of your center of gravity when you look in my direction...I'll push to the opposite of that!'
Reo's eyes grew wide and he was stunned as Isagi disappeared from his line of vision. When Reo found Isagi's figure, the latter was already running away, leaving a bit of distance between them.
'Alright! I'm past him! The road to the goal has been opened up by me! Now! To me, Barou!' Isagi thought as he looked the boy in the eye.
However, Barou simply turned away and continued forward on his own will, driven by his own thoughts.
"No way..." Isagi muttered.
'He's ignoring me!'
"Mister Lone King..." Kunigami chuckled, looking at the approaching Barou.
"You're being way too greedy!" He shouted, sticking his foot over and stealing the ball.
"Ugh..." Barou grit his teeth before falling to the floor, Kunigami quickly leaving.
"Gh..." Isagi paused.
'He lost the ball again...!'
"Goddamnit...We're going back, Isagi!" Nagi shouted. "I'll do something about Chigiri! Don't let Reo get the ball!"
"I know!" Isagi replied. "But-!"
Isagi grit his teeth as Reo ran past him.
'Not good. We're already in this range...Kunigami can't be let loose in a place like this...!'
Kunigami was already lifting his leg when Isagi looked over, and the latter could only watch as the ball was shot towards the net.
'He'll blast through!' Isagi thought.
"Right on." Kunigami said.
The whistle blew as the ball crashed into the net, and Kunigami let out a triumphed yell as he pumped his fist.
