Y/n blankly stared at the ground as he stretched his limbs, awaiting the restart. Ness soon came up next to him and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder.
"Something wrong? You seem different." Ness said.
"I'm fine. Just...thinking." Y/n muttered as he slightly narrowed his eyes.
Ness furrowed his brows as he stared at the boy, but he didn't say anything. Then, he glanced over at Isagi who was speaking with Hiori. Just like that, Ness' eyes grew wide and he slightly clenched his teeth.
"What's wrong, Ness? And you, Y/n?" Kaiser spoke up as he threw an arm around their shoulders.
"Huh?" Ness slightly gasped.
"Nothing." Y/n grumbled.
"Then what's with that look on your faces? If you keep looking like that, then even the Goddess of Victory will abandon you." Kaiser said.
"Kaiser, what should we do?!" Ness asked, clearly frantic.
"Just stay calm. Every game has gaps that we can exploit. Yoichi will definitely try to outwit that shitty, hothead, red-headed gorilla. We'll target that. We'll destroy them all. Are you ready?" Kaiser said with a cold voice.
"Tch. I was already thinking about that." Y/n scoffed as he pushed Kaiser's arm off.
"Hmph! You can keep the gorilla in check then 'cause I'll be the one to crush Yoichi." Kaiser smirked.
"As if. I've got my own plan. If you end up in my way, I'll crush you too." Y/n said, casting him a side glare.
"Likewise." Kaiser chuckled.
Ness glanced at each of them and he couldn't help but feel a little relaxed.
"The stage is set! After a fierce back-and-forth
battle with sensational goals on both sides,
Bastard Muchen and Ubers are 3-2!
Who will score the winning goal and
emerge as this game's protagonist?!
Fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen! The possible final restart in the Egoist League's Match 5, Bastard Munchen vs Ubers, finally kicks off!"
Y/n advanced as he glanced at Kaiser who immediately faced off with Barou.
"Show me what you've got, you blue-rosed tattoo freak!" Barou challenged.
"Looks like you need to be taken down a peg, you red-headed gorilla!" Kaiser coldly stared.
Kaiser passed the ball over to Ness who began to lure in some of Ubers' members. Just as they began to form a trap for Ness, the latter passed the ball to Y/n.
"Yes. Success!" Ness spoke as he harshly made contact with the ground.
Y/n glanced over at Kaiser and the both began swerving between players, sending each other intricate passes that left the opponents dazed.
"They're heading straight through the middle! Stop them!"
"Don't let either of them shoot! Watch the flanks!"
'I can try and score now, but I'm 100% gonna fail and then Kaiser will pick up the ball and score. That's why, I'll let him take his shot and fail.' Y/n thought.
Just as Kaiser shot the ball...
"Yoohoo~" Lorenzo grinned as he appeared.
The ball smacked against his face and was sent away from the goal.
