Y/n narrowed his eyes as he brought his leg forward, picking up the ball that had flown after Kunigami's interference in the pass to Shidou.
Suddenly, Nanase appeared in front of him, standing defensively to respond with either leg, depending on where Y/n moved.
"Y'know, being ambidextrous is cool." Y/n hummed, looking at the boy.
"Ah, right! Rin-kun helped me out with learning that." Nanase dumbly nodded, squinting his eyes with a slight suspicion.
"That's great!" Y/n said.
He moved to head towards Nanase's right side, but the moment the dark-haired boy responded, Y/n sent the ball to his other foot and changed directions.
"I was watching, and it's clear you're not exactly equally strong with each foot. Considering I've been training my ability since I was a kid, this was a bad matchup for you from the start." Y/n said with a close-eyed smile.
"You-!" Nanase muttered with a slightly irked expression.
'Almost everyone on the field is being pinned by a member of the opposite team. It's kinda funny.' Y/n thought before sliding to a stop as someone lunged past him.
"Someone's gotta get you to quit running around like a dog. You're an eyesore." Rin commented.
"That's mean, Rin-Rin. Quit being so pissy that you failed to score earlier." Y/n spoke with a mocking pout.
Rin grit his teeth, coldly staring at the boy and glancing at Isagi who continued to follow him.
Y/n's eyes fell on someone and he passed the ball before sprinting ahead, receiving a pass back. Kiyora ran a few feet away on his left side and made sharp turns while getting in between some of the other players.
"Kaaay...You all really are lacking in skill." Kiyora commented, jumping over someone's leg and keeping the ball in his control.
"Right! They might as well get lost already." Y/n said, catching the passed ball.
'Eh? I didn't expect Kiyora to be like this. Does he have an attitude like Y/n?' Isagi deadpanned.
Just then, Kunigami and Shidou came sprinting in and the ball collided with their heads, sending it flying up.
"Boo, you whores." Y/n deadpanned as he headed towards the ball.
"Sexy chance..." Raichi smirked, bumping the ball with his chest.
"Sexy? You're just a meathead who constantly sacrifices himself for others. Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting, you sweaty, non-sexy meathead." Charles grinned, jumping and bumping the ball away from Raichi.
"So I'm not the only one who sees how non-sexy he is?" Y/n spoke up, reaching forward and managing to keep the ball while spinning around.
"I like you a little more than I thought I would, you hellion." Y/n added, looking back at Charles.
"Huh? Hellion...?" Charles muttered, blinking owlishly.
"Over here, contrarian." Rin said as he came running towards the pair.
"Itoshi Rin!" Charles grinned a bit.
Y/n made a quick pass to Isagi before shoving between Charles and Rin. Isagi proceeded to kick the ball ahead for him, just barely doing so before Rin could interfere.
'Rin's not able to do a lot because Isagi keeps pinning him, and Charles finds him too boring to pass to. Shidou's great, but ever since Kunigami locked down on him, his movements have been restricted. And Kunigami...he seems more fired up, probably because this is his revenge.' Y/n thought,
