"The match will take place in 3 weeks, led by Itoshi Sae's and Japan's U20 National Team VS Blue Lock's Eleven. Victory will grant you a position on the U20 National Team and defeat will mean the utter dissolution of Blue Lock. Let's go, you unpolished gems. The ones to change the face of the Japanese Football will be at Blue Lock." Ego spoke on the television.
"Sounds intense." Y/n commented.
"For real." Ren nodded.
"Hey! Hold on just a sec. I get this is a chance for us and all, but you said "Blue Lock's Eleven". Are you determining the members?" Raichi questioned.
"...Don't tell me, you're gonna have some of us play as midfielders and defenders." Gagamaru followed.
"Yeah, of course. And a goalkeeper too. Other than the forwards, we'll have to rush to patch together a team." Ego said.
"That's...just too much! Our opponents will have actual defenders and such, right?" Tokimitsu gaped.
"This predicament...I do not have such a development." Aryu said.
"Shut up. Watch your tongues. I'm not a goddamn moron." Ego said with a dark expression.
"The formation of the Blue Lock Team will center the following 6 whose names I will call out. Given your overall evaluations as of this moment, these individuals rank as the top 6. With the goal of putting together a team in just three short weeks, this method will be our best shot." He continued.
"Top 6, huh." Seiko muttered, staring blankly at the screen.
Zzt Zzt!
"Those who are called, step forward. First, as the overall No.1, Sano Y/n." Ego started.
"Oh?" Y/n blinked, stepping forward as everyone's eyes fell on him.
'Y/n...Well, it was either him or Rin...' Isagi thought.
"Moving on, No.2, Itoshi Rin." Ego said.
Rin stepped forward, silent while ignoring the stares that shifted to him.
"Next, No.3, Shidou Ryusei." Ego said.
"There it is. Bada bing." Shidou smirked, stepping forward.
"Huh?! You're actually that good?!" Igarashi gasped.
"I just thought you were bad news..." He whispered.
"So that dude's No.1 and the other's No.2." Shidou smirked, glancing at the pair.
'I also want to be chosen.' Isagi thought, furrowing his brows.
"Alright, next, No.4, Karasu Tabito." Ego said.
"Someone gets it." Karasu smirked.
"No.5, Otoya Eita." Ego said.
"Sup." Otoya said, rolling one of his shoulders.
"Lastly, No.6 is Yukimiya Kenyu. That's it." Ego said.
"Yes, sir. It's an honor." Yukimiya smiled, stepping forward.
'They're the top 6...' Isagi thought.
"Excuse me, Ego-san. Thinking about what lies ahead, I've got something of a simple question for you." Yukimiya said, raising his hand.
"What's your reason for putting me in 6th place? That is, what's the difference between me and 1st place?" He asked.
"It's simple. Among the 35 of you here, the only ones able to score a goal against the world's select team were these three...Sano Y/n, Itoshi Rin, and Shidou Ryusei." Ego replied.
