Winter ended a while ago, and it's finally warm. Daphne's birthday was yesterday and we all had such a fun time, we tried to head out past curfew to raid the kitchens but the Slytherin Prefect just had to have a stick up his arse. I got Daphne many gifts but she really loves the hair clips I had gotten her.
Daphne has a "potential boyfriend date" with Blaise this morning. Stupid? Yes. He's taking her to Hogsmeade to have some quiet time at Madam Puddifoot's. You heard me, Madam Puddifoot's. The most popular place to eat each other's mouths and exchange saliva. Gross.
Pansy had gone out with Tracey a while ago, she forgave me with the whole accident involving the Weasleys, which wasn't necessary since she didn't lose a limb or anything. Milly is still fast asleep in her bed with her cat.
The blonde gives me a giddy hug, spinning around and twirling to show me her beauty. She leaves a hot cup of tea beside my nightstand before running out of the room, the door shutting as elegantly as her.
I roll out of my bed in my shorts, the cold Slytherin air touching my bare legs as I start my day with a sip of tea. So good. My charmed hairbrush immediately starts brushing through my hair when I pick it up, giving me a nice head massage. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I pick out some clothes; a pleated brown skirt, a white blouse and a cable knit brown vest jumper.
The wizard's chess competition is on this morning, Theo and I both submitted our names into the box as we both love the game. There is no award, it's just meant to be a small and fun event where students compete in rounds to determine the best player.
Milly is a heavy sleeper, when she wakes up, she'll realise that everyone in the dormitory is already gone. I place a white headband on and put my platformed boots on heading to the boys dormitories.
Both the genders' dorm rooms are accessible through staircases, girls on one side going up a specific staircase, boys on the other side going up their staircase. Daphne told me a fact when I first came here, girls can go to boy dormitories but boys can't go to girl dormitories. The whole girl staircase is hexed. It can identify boys who tried to sneak into the other side, jinxing them with all different spells like the stinging jinx.
All the other houses have the same rule. Though, I believe less violent as Salazar Slytherin wanted to teach pigs respect (thank you, Salazar). The Hogwarts founders thought that boys were less trustworthy than girls so they forced the act, and to this day it is still being carried out. Might I add, that is an extremely good thing as most of these boys are creeps.
Blaise and Theo had both given me a tour of their shared dormitory with Malfoy, Vincent and Gregory, so I know what room they are in. Their room is laid out the exact same as ours so it wasn't an exciting tour.
Walking up the stairs, each and every boy I see greets me with a good morning to which I return. Vincent and Gregory ask me if I'm going up to their dorm.
I knock on the door. "Theo, you ready?"
"Come in!"
Trying to get in, I realise that it's locked. So he tells me to come in and yet doesn't open the door for me. "Alohomora." Rolling my eyes, I tuck my wand into the sleeve of my blouse as I have no pockets.
Malfoy groans from his bed. "Why is she here?"
"Adria also put her name in the competition." Theo turns to me, his face lights up in glee. "You look good."
Before I could answer, Malfoy laughs.
"Harlow, you look like a Hufflepuff."
"Ironic when you dress like death, Malfoy."
