I am humming so happily as I take another bite in the peach mango pie that I am holding. I am holding the pie on my left hand and an ice cream on my other hand.

“This is really good,” I said. “I can eat this forever.”

Galing na kaming dalawa sa doktor and it's confirmed. I'm five weeks pregnant. She even explained iyong pagsusuka ko every morning and my weird cravings. She also told me to stay away from things that may cause stress because it's not good for me and the baby.

At hindi ko alam kung matatawa ba ako o ano dahil kanina habang nagpapaliwanag iyong doktor ay nagti-take down notes si Caesar at may recording pa sa cellphone niya. He look so serious while writing kaya hindi ako nakatawa. The doctor didn't seem to mind him kaya hinayaan ko na lang din. It was a sweet thing for him to do anyway.

“Don't you want to eat other food?” He asked afterwards and glance at his wrist watch. “We can stop by a steak house or anywhere you want to eat.”

“Okay. I feel like I also want some steak.”

He picked the nearest steak house from where we are. The place doesn't look to fancy but it's decent enough for a lunch. Hindi rin ganoon karami ang tao kaya tahimik lang ang buong place, which is a good thing for me.

A waiter immediately greeted us as we sat down in the vacant table. He offered us the menu with a friendly smile on his lips.

“What's yours, baby?”

“Two steaks. Well done. And juice,” sabi ni Caesar doon sa waiter. “Thanks.”

I took my phone out from my purse and sent a message to May Ann and France. I want to tell them about my condition right now since sigurado na talaga na buntis ako. I'm sure they'll freak out so much kapag nalaman nila, especially France.

“Who are you texting?”

I showed him my phone.

“May Ann and France. I want to see them one of these days, maybe.”

Tumango naman siya bilang sagot. He scot closer to me then put his arms around my waist. He rested his head on my shoulders. I chuckled when he started planting small kisses on my jaw up to my cheeks.

“What do you want us to do next?” He suddenly asked.

Natigilan ako at napabaling sa kaniya. “What do you mean?”

“When do you plan to telling your parents about us? About our baby?” He asked. “We can't keep this a secret, Ricca.”

Hindi ako nakasagot sa tanong niya. Natulala ako at nablangko ang isipan. If I would tell them right now. . . what would I say? Or how do I say it to them?

“I-ikaw? Kailan mo sasabihin sa family mo?” I asked instead of answering his question.

“I'm gonna tell them later over dinner.”

Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya at bahagyang nanlaki ang mata. He smirked at my reaction as he lean forward to plant a quick kiss on my lips.

“You're cute,” he commented.
