The mystery of Saganash.

The supposed start to a normal day.

"Where are you guys?" Daniel asked them as we were all happy to see one another safe.
"Are you safe?" Tess added.
"When are you coming home?" Nika asked.
"Darlings, we're fine." Kate told us.
"We know this must have been very frightening and we couldn't be prouder of all of you." Erik added.
"It's so great to see you. We have missed you so much." Kate continued before Simone joined us.
"Hi, it's Simone from the Amsterdam police. What's this all about?"
"Guys, listen. Saganash kidnapped us but we escaped." Erik told and I noticed Sav look down at it, making me squeeze her hand to comfort her.
"I'll report this to the chief and he'll get the detectives on it." Simone explained.
"No, you can't! It's too dangerous. The Saganash family is very, very powerful. They've got people everywhere, including the police force." Erik stated, not wanting to risk anything.
"Kidnapping is a very serious crime."
"I'm sorry, you can't talk about this with anyone! Tim, you too. You understand?" Erik asked making him give a nod.
"When are you coming home?" Nika asked again.
"I'm afraid we can't." Erik revealed, shocking us.
"What?"
"Saganash is looking for us."
"We have to stay in hiding for the time being." Kate added.
"It's safer for all of us at the moment. Together is more danger then good." Sav pointed out.
"Sav's right." Kate told making her give a small smile at it.
"I'm sorry to say this, guys, but you can't stay there either." Erik told making us give a shocked look.
"What?" Tess questioned.
"I can take care of everyone." Daniel quickly told them.
"Yeah, I'm staying. I'm not afraid of Saganash." I added.
"It's not safe." Erik told us.
"Tim, we need you to find a place for them, only for the time being, okay?" Kate asked.
"You got it."
'To the orphanage for me I guess.'
"I don't wanna go anyplace else." Nika whined.
"For your own safety, please, do as we say." Erik stated before Kate spoke.
"If there was any other choice, we wouldn't do this, but we're stuck here..." she told before it started to cut in and out.
"Kate? Kate, we can't hear you!" Anika slightly shouted before the call dropped.

"This house is full of secret rooms." Anika told as we grouped up in the rec room. "We could hide and nobody would ever find us."
"They legit found us the next day of us running away." Sav pointed out as she went back to not speaking and using her phone to communicate.
"I still can't believe as soon as you weren't angry you went mute again." Tess pointed out making her shrug.
"I could set up a system that would turn this place into a fortress." Sal told them to help.
"Doesn't help when needing to leave for food runs or school." Sav pointed out again.
"Can't you ask your family to help? You did say they were...." Daniel began before being cut off by her throwing a pillow at his face.
"My family is not to be messed with. I will not disclose any more information on them then this." She told us, which was slightly confusing.
"They're gonna keep us all together, right?" Anika asked before the door opened as we all stayed silent in it. "You guys?"
Tim came and placed a tray of drinks for us and Simone stood with him, making me take Sav's hand in mine for some form of comfort.
"Look... I know this isn't easy for you guys, but your parents just wanna make sure you're safe. You're not being separated permanently. These are temporary foster homes." Simone explained to us.
"Or worse." I muttered knowing where I'll be stuck at.
"When will we be together again?" Sal asked.
"It's impossible to say. I'm sorry." Tim told.

I snuck down the stairs of the place, making sure not to make a sound and wake the others up. I looked at the photos on the wall on the stairs and how they all were smiling, even seeing Sav was up there in a photo celebrating Sal's last birthday. I let out a sigh before going down the rest of the stairs and headed for the door, only stopping when I saw a red envelope next to the phone on the little set of draws there. I went back over to it and picked it up to see the golden words on it.
'Mr and Ms Hunters and Ms Saganash?'
Before I could open it, Tess was suddenly in front of me with Sav following close behind her as she rubbed her eyes.
"Where are you going?" Tess asked me.
"Yeah, I, I, just... you know, thought it was time I..."
"Abandoned us?" Tess asked as she cut me off and I saw the sadden look on Sav's face at that thought before pulling her phone out and showed me what she wrote.
"You were gonna abandon me like my dad did?"
"No, no, it's not like that." I told before not being able to think of anything else to say.
"Don't worry about it. We'll be okay, Max." Tess told before heading past me and she pulled Sav with her.
"Tess, Sav, wait." I told the two making them stop and look at me.
"I'm not trying to abandon anybody. I just don't want to go to that orphanage." I told the two.
"They won't send you to Blackfriars." Tess told me and Sav showed her phone.
"My grandma would have helped keep you here with me. You just had to ask." She told me, making me feel terrible.
"How do either of you know?"
"We won't let that happen." Tess told making Sav move and punch my arm.
"Ow." I told her before she showed her phone.
"That's for being stupid, Stupid." She told making me give a small smile at it, which made her fight her own.
"What's that?" Tess asked when she saw the letter.
"I... don't know. I found it over there." I admitted making Tess take it from my hands and opened it to reveal a red letter with matching gold lettering.
There was a big R at the top and under it was the same as the front of the envelope. She turned it around to show another R and a bunch of letters.
"What do you think those are?" I asked.
"They're called numbers, Max." She sarcastically told.
"Yeah, I know, but what do you think they mean?" I clarified.
"Who knows? Maybe it's some kind of code." She questioned making Sav pull my sleeve making me look towards her.
"It might be a place. I wasn't really taught that though before my father did what everyone knows." She informed us, making us think before realising who would.
"Sal!"

"Well, it's fairly obvious. They're geolocation coordinates based on a spherical Mercator's projection." Sal told making us all nod at it.
"Oh, I knew it."
"That's what I was gonna say."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally, the ge... yeah." We all told as one, while Sav just nodded.
"None of you but Sav have any idea what I'm talking about, do you?" Sal asked.
"No." We all told.
"They're geographical coordinates."
"Oh, so those numbers are a place." I pointed out, making Sal nod.
"I was right." Sav told with her phone as she smiled at it.
"...0-8-2." Sal finished putting in, making a flag appear on the map where the numbers wanted us to go to. "Bam! We've got a location. That's not far from here... and I've got the perfect tool to pinpoint the spot. Remember how Erik and I, and sometimes Sav used to go geocaching?"
"Yeah, yeah, totally. I sure do." I told, making Sav tilt her head to the side in confusion.
"You didn't even live here then." Tess pointed out.
"Oh, geo... caching. I thought you... yeah, no, I don't know what that is. I'm sorry." I admitted making Sav pat my back as Sal showed us this device in his hands.
"It's a game. Kinda like a treasure hunt. You okay it with a GPS tracker, which Erik got me for my birthday."
"Can I play? I love treasure hunts." Anika asked as she was excited over this as the door opened. "Please?"
"I'm totally doing this. What about you Sav?" I asked making Sav give two thumbs up for it.
"Hold it!" Daniel told us making us look to see him still in his pjs and his hair looking like a mess. "You're all going to school. Simone is coming to check on us, and we have to make her think it's just a regular day."
"Technically for the past two months this has been the normal." Sav pointed out with her phone.
"A regular day before this. All right? So hurry up and get ready." He told as he clicked his fingers to make us go to do so. "She'll be here any minute."
