Once we finished our food, we were watching Sal put the tracker in with the diamond so we could follow and find where their parents were.
"This is the tracking device." Sal told us as he showed us the small device between the tweezers.
I quickly wrote something down and tapped Max before giving him my note pad.
"That is small." He read out for me. "She isn't wrong."
"Trust me. With this chip, you can trace someone's location whenever and wherever you want." Sal informed us.
"Whoa, can I connect it with Simone?" Daniel asked making us all give him a look and wrote down something for it before holding it to Max.
"Dude, that is beyond creepy. Never and I mean never repeat that." He read for me, making Daniel realise this and left us to go to the wheel and we all shook it off.
"And now... I'm connecting this chip to this pouch." Sal told as he did so and put it in between all the woven parts of the bag. "The diamond please."
Max patted himself down and we all began to panic he somehow lost it already despite him not having gone anywhere. He gave us a panicked look before he started to smile.
"I'm just joking." He told with a chuckle as he grabbed it from his pants pocket. "I totally have it. Here you go."
He smiled towards me as Sal took it and I gave him a serious look, making him also become serious for this plan.
'He is a loveable idiot. But I wouldn't trade him for the world.'
Sal carefully put the diamond in the bag as to make sure the tracker stayed in place before he let out a sigh of relief that this part was a success.

Which lead us to us standing at the meeting point for the hooded figure... who seemed to be running late. We all shared a look of confusion with one another, and Tess, Anika and Daniel waited at the boat while I stood with Max and Sal. Though our luck seemed to turn up when a man on a bike came to a stop in front of us.
"You Max?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"You got a package for me?"
"Where's your cape and hood?" Max asked confused.
"What?"
"Your cape and your-- your hood."
"Who rides a bike with a cape?" The bike rider asked, making me nudge Max and signalled to move on.
"Never mind."
"You got the package?" He asked making Sal remove the bag from him and handed it over, making the guy put it into his bag.... And did nothing else.
"Wait, that's-- that's it? You don't have, like, like, uh, directions or message for me or something." Max asked.
"Oh, right."
"Thank you." He told before he was given a pen and pad to sign he had gotten it. "What's this?"
"For receipt." He told making Max sign it and then he was off.
"Wait..."
"Shocker." I wrote at us being given nothing in return.
"Bicycle. Smart move. It's fast and maneuverable, the best way to beat traffic." Sal gushed.
"You sound like a commercial for Amsterdam Tourist Bureau." Tess pointed out.
"It might be the best way to beat traffic, but it's not the only way." Max stated before we headed back to the boat and I stopped before going back and grabbed Sal by his collar so we didn't delay this any longer.

The boat was travelling down the channel and they were keeping up with the man on the bike as best as they could. While Dave was driving it, the others kept track of him and kept updating Daniel on which way they needed to head.
"See him anywhere?" Sal asked Sav and Max and they looked out, making Sav give a thumbs down for it.
"It's going towards the bridge." Tess told.
"Oh, yes! I see him." Daniel told them, making them look towards where he was pointing and saw him going over the bridge.
"Turn right, he went right." Sal told.
"No, he went left." Nika corrected.
"No, he went right." Sal argued.
"Left? Right? Guys, guys, which way?" Daniel asked in confusion.
"Just go starboard." Sal told him.
"Star board?"
"Just go right." Max told him for everyone making Daniel do so.
As the five in the back was checking where he was now, Daniel suddenly joined them confusing them all.
"What are you doing?!" Sal shouted.
"Go back to the helm!" Tess ordered making Daniel rush to do so.
After a few more minutes, they were all trying to locate him.
"He should be right here." Sal pointed out, before they all moved over to where the dock was.
As soon as they parked at the dock, they all rushed out of the boat and went running to find where Saganash was, only for Nika to discover the bag on a bench.
"Guys!" She called before rushing over to it, making the others do the same.
She quickly grabbed it and opened it up, and to their disappointment they were too late and the diamond was now gone.
"It's empty." Nika stated.
"Saganash was onto us." Sal told before they all heard a police siren, making them look and saw it was Simone and Tim.
"Great, they were onto us too." Tess told.
"Wanna risk running?" Sav suggested.
"Probably best not to, babe." Max told before taking her hand in his.

(Max p.o.v)

The six of us were resting at the table and Sav was resting on my shoulder as I rubbed the back of her hand with my thumb to comfort her. Of course our bad luck was still in play when the witch and cryptkeeper came in and acted like they cared for us.
"Oh, thank goodness. Oh, my precious nieces and nephews and their friend. We missed you so much." Hedwig informed us, making Sav show me her notepad.
"Bull." She told making me chuckle and look at her to see her pretend she was sick by holding her finger to her open mouth and had her tongue slightly out, which just made me smile more.
"Yes, we've been looking all over town for you. That's how worried we were." Eugene added.
"Frankly, I don't understand how you could let this happen. These children were left in your care." Tim pointed out, clearly annoyed.
"It's not our fault. They're like wild animals." Eugene stated.
"We're old people. You can't expect us to be chasing them around all the time."
"Girl if my gran can bloody handle me, you should be able to do the same, though you do look much older then her. What are you, 100?" Sav stated, shocking us that she spoke since we believed she wasn't going to today.
"See, she is a bad influence on them. No wonder we can't handle them." Hedwig told, making me clench my fist at her insulting Sav.
"They're lying." Nika told. "The first thing they wanted was to get rid of us. They even banned Sav from the house."
"Uh! No...no... no." The two told making me roll my eyes at it.
"We love them like they're our own children." Hedwig stated.
"You forced them to eat nothing but disgusting gruel everyday for breakfast, only adding garlic on sundays. None of them are able to ask actual questions or laugh, cause if they do, they have to clean the floors with their toothbrush. They locked Anika, Tess, Sal and Daniel in a room with the only thing to eat was a slice of bread and there was only three glasses of water. They banned me from coming here and Hedwig called me stupid and a gold digger, despite my family being well off and more powerful then you two combined. And... I'm forgetting the last thing. Max, do you have any idea?" Sav asked after her rant.
"I think I do Sav. Cause, is that really the truth?" I asked before I got my phone and played the recording the two of us got when we were hiding.
"I think it's a good thing." Eugene told Hedwig
"A good thing?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"A good thing how?"
"Who cares where the filthy urchin is? If he ran away, so much the better. We want all those brats out of our hair. One down, four to go." Eugene explained to her.
"That's true...."
"You give that to me!" Eugene ordered as he tried to reach for it, making me lean back.
"Try anything and I'll break a chair over your head." Sav threatened making him freeze as I raised a finger for them to wait just a bit more.
"And it's only a matter of time before we stick the other little rats in new foster homes. Then this house and everything in it will belong to its rightful owners: us, the real Hunters." Hedwig stated.
While the two looked pissed off that we revealed how they really were, the rest of us were smiling that we were all free from them.
"You little..." Hedwig began.
"Finish that and the chair is heading for you." Sav told, making her stop.
"Isn't she just fantastic?" I gushed, happy I was lucky enough to be the one to call her my girlfriend.
"So, I guess this house will never be yours." Tim told to Hedwig and Eugene with a smile on his face. "Come on, let's go."
The two tried to protest their stay as we all got up to watch and force them out of the house. All of us saying our own byes to them, knowing we will never have to see them again and if we ever did it was too soon.
"I'm so glad they are gone." Sav told, making me wrap my arm around her waist.
"Yeah? Missed hanging out with us here?"
"Definitely." She told before we heard Nika call us.
"Guys! Come here, quick!"
We all rushed to join her in the lounge and saw she was on a tablet. To all our surprise, Erik and Kate were smiling and waving at us and we were just glad they were ok again.
