AN: You make a stupid decision and Jihyo makes you realize your mistake.
The last day of your vacations was right around and the corner and you weren't looking forward to going back. Spending these past few weeks with Jihyo in a secluded area was one of the best things you've done. There was no media to hide from or fans to deal with. You enjoyed the peace and you didn't want for it to end. You weren't sure if Jihyo felt the same.
Ever since the last week of your vacation started, Jihyo had been talking nonstop about everything she would be doing upon her return. It was exhausting to listen to her talk about all the dance rehearsals, recordings and promotions she had scheduled for. You weren't sure how she could think about work when she rarely had time off.
"Come to bed, baby. You've been on the phone all day."
"I'm sorry, (y/n). You know how it is with comebacks. I need to make sure that everything will..."
You took her hand and tried to tug her to lay down with you but she wouldn't budge.
"will be handled by your company. You're the talent. All you have to do is show up."
She frowns at your words.
"You know me, (y/n). I don't like to sit back and let others handle what I can do. The team wouldn't be as successful if it weren't for everyone's efforts."
"I know, love. But this is the first time we've been able to go on vacation together. I just want to enjoy our last days together before we have to pretend that we barely know each other."
"I'm almost done with this and then I'm all yours."
You pouted, hoping it would make her change her mind but she paid it no attention. She was back to calling the company and the rest of the girls. With a sigh, you laid back down and closed your eyes for a nap. You hoped that Jihyo would be done by the time you woke up.

"What would you say if I quit the group, unnie?"
Seeing Joohyun upset made you regret ever asking your question.
"Is everything okay, (y/n)? Do I need to kick Jihyo's ass?"
Joohyun smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. It made you feel guilty for thinking about leaving the group but being on vacation with Jihyo made you think. You love being a part of Red Velvet but the industry was getting to you.
"Everything is fine, unnie. I've just been thinking....I like the peace and quiet. It's nice not having to worry about who might see us or when I'll be able to actually rest. Taking a break has made me realize that I'm not enjoying what I used to love to do."
"If Jihyo is pressing you to....."
"Jihyo has nothing to do with this decision. I'm the one who has been thinking about it."
Joohyun stays quiet for the longest time. If it weren't for her blinking, you would've thought that the screen had glitched.
"We'll support you in whatever decision you make, (y/n). If you wish to quit then we're not going to stop you. Just know that you don't have to make any decision for now. Think about it and get back to me with an answer."
"Thank you, unnie. I really appreciate it."
She gives you a genuine smile this time.
"Anything for my, girls."

It was the day before the end of your vacation and you had yet to bring up your conversation with Joohyun with Jihyo. It's not like you had been avoiding it, Jihyo had just been working since the start of the week and you didn't want to bother her.
