Summary: A mistake costs you everything.
Lisa was already in thin ice with the company. Another mistake and she wouldn't be able to debut as scheduled. While the company liked her stage presence and overall character, they weren't going to risk having someone that will ruin the group before they could even debut.
You a were a model trainee. There was never any complaints about you other than spending too much time at the company when you should be resting.
The executives weren't surprised when Lisa was one of the two on the picture. They were surprised when they saw you alongside Lisa.
"This is disappointing, (y/n). We have high expectations from you. You should've known that this was prohibited and something that we're highly against."
You had first been pulled into a meeting with them to discuss your behavior.
"I'm sorry. I...."
"We knew that girl was trouble and yet we took a risk in bringing her in."
Another executive cuts you off.
"Honestly, we should've never risked it. Our methods work and they've been proven to be successful. We should just save ourselves the trouble and cut her off of the program."
"I agree. Lisa is a liability to the company..."
"No!"
You yell at them, making everyone quiet down from the shock of hearing you yell. You've always been so obedient.
"You should know better than that, (y/n). We're willing to overlook your mistake and this is how you repay us?"
"You can't cut her off. Becoming an idol is all she's ever talked about. P..please just give her another chance."
You could barely hold back the tears you were holding in. You were desperate to make sure that Lisa wouldn't get kicked out.
One of the executives slides a document to you. You look down to stare at the blurry picture of the two of you kissing. Lisa had been the one to tell you it wasn't a good idea to kiss in the building but you always waved her off to give her a quick kiss. It wouldn't be fair for Lisa to get kicked out for something that she had been trying to avoid from happening.
"How long have the two of you been together? Was it just a one-time kiss? How can we be reassured that this won't happen again?"
Since you had seen the picture, you already knew what you needed to do to make sure that Lisa would remain at the company.
"I'll quit. Lisa deserves to debut. I know all of you can see the potential in her. It would be dumb of you to kick her out."
"Lisa is nothing but trouble. We know how talented she is but being idol requires more than just talent."
"I promise she won't get into any more trouble. She'll listen and do as you ask of her."
"What if she doesn't? We'll just kick her out and neither of you will debut. If you stay, we're sure that you'll be able to debut without any problems."
"....she doesn't know about this?" One of them shakes their head. "I promise she won't give you any more problems. I just need another week at the company and I'll be gone."
X
You needed more than a week but you knew it was all they would agree too. After spending the last two days with Lisa, you had to break up with her. You needed to make her think that the breakup would make you quit.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
Using the last of the strength you had, you took a deep breath and looked at her directly.
