(TWICE) -> (GIDLE)
Summary: Mina realizes her mistake
Mina never meant to be in a long-term relationship with you. Being with you was only meant to be a distraction but you managed to break down her walls. You were the perfect girlfriend. You were everything that she wanted Chaeyoung to be. It wasn't hard to fall for you. Despite falling for you, half of Mina's heart still belonged to Chaeyoung. A stubborn part of her wanted to be with Chae even after realizing that she had it all with you.
Since she couldn't have Chaeyoung, she decided it was best to stay with you. She figured that her feelings would soon fade away but they never did. Especially not when Chaeyoung decided that she didn't like seeing her with you. Chae would continuously flirt with her until eventually the two of them shared a kiss. Mina could barely look at you after the kiss from the guilt. Immediately after the kiss, Mina rushed home to find you cooking one of her favorite dishes. Rather than face you after what had happened, Mina skipped dinner and headed straight to bed.
A kiss turned to two and then three until the two of them eventually started to act like a couple. Chaeyoung would hold her hand, flirt with her even without any cameras present, she was touchy, kisses were shared, until it all led to them sneaking around behind your back. Mina couldn't take Chaeyoung to your shared apartment so the two of them would find empty rooms or even head back to Chaeyoung's apartment when Mina would lie to you about the late night practices.
Mina was far too focused on Chaeyoung to see that she pushing you away. She still felt guilty about what she was doing behind your back but that was always pushed to the back of her mind when Chae's hands wondered. Mina would always tell herself she'll break things off with Chaeyoung after but she never could.

"You could've just broken up with me."
Mina's world came crashing down upon seeing your distraught look.
"(y/n)!"
"It's not what it looks like."
Being caught in the act made her realize who her heart had picked. It wasn't Chaeyoung. It hadn't been for a long while despite the cold shoulder she had given you. It was you. The one who made her laugh. The one who always cheered her up. The one who no matter how exhausted you were, you always made sure that she was taken care of.
She left Chaeyoung in the kitchen and ran to you, hoping to save what she had destroyed.
"Please! Let me explain."
Mina had to take a step back when she saw the fury in your eyes. It killed her to see the lovestruck expression in your eyes gone.
"Explain what? This is the most emotion I've seen out of you in weeks. You don't think I noticed how you changed? How you smelled different after coming home late? How none of your group gave consistent answers when I asked about you? How you forgot dates? How you even forgot my damn birthday? How you made me feel so unwanted that my thoughts have been spiraling. I hate myself for being so stupid and blind. I hate you for stringing me along."
Instead of stopping you, Mina let you leave.
"You should go."
Mina was surprised to find Chaeyoung was still in the apartment.
"Mina, we should..."
"Just go, Chaeyoung."
Thankfully, Chaeyoung listens and leaves. Alone, Mina breaks down.

Mina had tried to approach you dozens of times but you always turned away. When she learned of your break, Mina felt responsible for it despite the company claiming it was due to an illness.
"(y/n)!"
Seeing your return almost a few weeks later gave Mina hope that you would give her a chance to apologize. However, seeing the exact same furious expression she had seen back at your shared apartment made her see that you were still angry with her.
"You cheated on me. I don't care that you're my senior, you lost all my respect. This is our place of work. Be professional. I would appreciate it if you stopped trying to talk to me. I don't have anything to say to you."
Stunned by your words, all Mina could do was watch you walk away. There was no hope of fixing things, she had ruined what she had with you and she had no one but herself to blame.

Everyone in the group was disappointed with her. None of them had been aware of what Mina had been doing behind your back or else they would've made her pick. The group dynamic wasn't the same after the others learned about what had occurred between her and Chaeyoung. Fans began to speculate about what was going on between the 9 of them but no one knew the real reason. The company had to eventually release a statement about the group being too stressed and needing to cut back on schedules.
Another statement was soon released of where she was taking a break from any activities.

Months passed and Mina still hadn't gone back to work. She knew that TWICE wouldn't work without all 9 of them but she couldn't bare to see all the disappointed looks. The girls all claimed to admit that everything was fine but Mina could tell that their view of her had changed. She didn't blame them. She had done the worst thing a person could do to another.
She spends most of her time locked up in her apartment, buried under the covers of her blanket while occasionally looking at updates of you. She only checked them to see how you were doing much better gradually. Every new picture of you released showed you happier than the one before. It makes her wonder what could've caused for your smile to return.
It's not for another week when she no longer has to wonder. Posted a few seconds ago, there was a picture of a shadow of what she assumes is you holding hands with someone else. Along with a picture, there's a heart emoji in the caption. A few minutes later and a mutual friend posts the exact same picture with the same emoji.

You giggled as you felt them kiss your forehead.
"Post it. I want everyone to know that you're taken. I'll do the same."
After posting the picture, you lock your phone and cuddle closer to Yuqi. When she's done, she kisses your neck several times until you're laughing from how ticklish you are.
"Sto...stooop."
"Not until I get all the kisses I missed when I was in tour."
You weakly tried to push Yuqi away, not really wanting for her to stop her attack of kisses. It was nice to feel wanted.
